Southern Pacific situation...

I have +40 000 units of supply currently there for the troops but somehow it is not divided.

Thus one single infantry division holds 95% of teh supplies landed on the beaches.

I know this comment is late - I believe this was fixed in one of the Betas. BTW, if you do consider upgrading, I would recommend going with the latest.

Just nuke Truk with a B29. It's the only way to be sure. [:)]

zzodr: I will increase the tempo as much as I can.

witpqs: That is what I hear too. I did discuss with Dave and he agreed not to ground assault those starved troops.

I'am pulling them off and maybe visiting Truk a bit later on. Not decieded on that one.

The other option would have been to wait for the official patch but we agreed to move on.


Pacific (November 29th 1944)


Japanese launched againts Colombo again. Dave however stated that this was pure accident on his part and he missed to reset orders.

Well, we did shoot down few of his carrier pilots above the skies at Colombo.

I had some long ranged bombers on naval search last turn and they spotted the moving carriers. (see pic below)

It seems he is withdrawing them into Singapore for an refit and "rest".

Other than that.. we launched againts Manus near Rabaul but got repulsed.

Dave launched some Jack sweeps but we held firm on those raids.

I have now commenced plan B since the Truk operations are officially cancelled for now.

Well, your Navy has been hammered but not to the point where it is crippled. Killing those five Japanese carriers is a good things as you are reaching a point where he just can't defeat your carriers with his. Keep plugging. Your game looks like it will go well into 1946 which may be fun. It will be fun to watch.

I definately will keep grinding eventhough he has basically won on "points". We just turned 3 years gametime in this one and will see it all the way into 1946's.

New Guinea (December 7th 1944)


Allied operations have now commenced at New Guinea region.

Troops have now landed at Sarni and hope to secure this base soon so I can start building up the airfield.

Japanese have moved fighter aircraft into vicinity of Aitape. This was dealt with large bomber raid and the airfield is pretty much closed down now.

We scorched some 40-50 fighters with that strike.

Allied troops are also fighting south of Rabaul at Rekata Bay. This base should soon be in our hands.

Invasion of Port Moresby will commence next turn. Allied ships are just 40 miles off the target. If recon is correct japanese have just 1 unit there.

I'am also moving 400-500 bombers into southern pacific region plus some trained fighters.

There will be further invasions at northern New Guinea. I want to secure those bases before he can reinforce them.

Burma (December 13th 1944)


The stalemate continue at Chiang Mai.

However last turn recon missions showed that he is either reinforcing this base or making organized withdraw of forces.

The recon planes spotted 4-5 enemy units 40 south of the base.

IJN pulled off couple big raids againts Moulmein and Rangoon. These bombardments neutralized the airfields for an turn...

..talk about overkill. These naval bombardments were bad as nuclear weapons.

The RAF and US airforce is still very strong in the area and it is regrouping for the next push here.

Also the Chinese officials have confirmed that they will enter back into war againts Japan.

The chinese troop movement is ongoing already and the offensive will start most likely in january 1945.

New Guinea (December 13th 1944)


The allied push againts the Japanese holding New Guinea have been increased.

Last turn we seized the following bases: Port Moresby, Rekata Bay, Sarni, Biak and Manokwari.

There are ongoing invasion transports heading into Aitape as we speak.

At Manus the japanese are still holding out but the situation might change soon since I can now support the ground troops with even more bombers.

Definately an good turn here and we hope to keep things moving forward.

Those sinkings were 8 months ago. They are almost certain by now. My experience is that if it is on the sunk list that long, it is sunk.

As you can see allied are pushing forward but japanese have inflicted significant damage so far.

Pacific (January 4th 1945)


This is the overview map of the Pacific theatre.

The most actions are fought currently around New Guinea and Burma.

If you compare the map from what we started off than things are looking much better. (Not as good as i would like though)

New Guinea (January 4th 1945)


Allied have been pushing forward here and the whole New Guinea will be liberated soon.

We still need seize bases that were left behind though. This is vital because Dave can do ambush style missions.

In example he did place some Judy's into Nauru Island and managed to sunk few tankers.

Allied troops will start landing at Sorong next turn. The base have 7 units totaling around 10 000 men.

We should however capture the base within next 2-3 turns since we have brought overwhelming force into battle.

Also there are smaller landings happening at Kavieng, Lae and Wewak.

It has been somewhat of an suprise to see how much supply and fuel these campaigns eat though. A word of advice to anyone nearing this timeframe.

Burma (January 4th 1945)


IJN have made several bombardment runs againts Rangoon, Pegu and Moulmein.

So far I haven't been able to stop these but will look into my options regarding these raids.

At least BB Yamamoto and BB Musashi are operating in this area. There has not been any signs of KB which I expect to show up in southern Pacific.

The ground battle at Chiang Mai is ongoing and both sides have brought in additional reinforcements.

I'am preparing to start pushing in other areas here too and moving troops accordingly.

China (January 4th 1945)


Here is an picture from China.

There has not been any ground battles fought here for months but things are about to change.

I'am moving chinese troops forward but still very much undecieded how to handle the offensive that is about to start.

Burma (January 14th 1945)


The ground combat stalemate continues at Chiang Mai. Allied have brought +2000av and japanese have 1050av currently in place there.

In order to lift this deadlock the allied have increased their airwar campaign here.

I have moved forces 40 miles west of Rahaeng. Dave seems to have around 30 000 men in reserve at central Burma.

Last turn we bombed Rahaeng and Uttaradit in central Burma. Both sides lost around 70-100 aircraft there.

The high allied casualties are due to the fact that those japanese are very experinced and some of our squadrons took off without escorts. (No suprise there)

Tomorrow we will strike againts Bangkok with full force in order to distrubt his aerial assets in this region.

There has not been anymore sightings of BB Yamato TF nor KB in this region.

In northern Burma there are couple stubborn paratroopers that are fested around Lashio / Mandalay area.
