Italian Coast.

Gibraltar & Morocco.
(1) Beaufighter N3 & F3 rebases to supplied airbase at Gibraltar and will be able to flyout during naval air to West Med[3].
(2) US P-30G F2 rebases to Gibraltar and Blenheim L4 to Morocco will able be able to flyout (during naval air) to West Med[3].
(3) Note that the P-30G & Blenheim could reach West Med[4], but that provides no search benefit over the 930 with the Beaufighter N3.
(4) However it does add 2 fighter wings together vs the Italian F2 that's expected to flyout to cover the axis subs in [2] and replace the aborted Italian F2 from this impulse.

Turn 23. May/June 1943. Axis #5.
Asian Theater. China.
(1) OOS Japanese armies & Wld corps decide it's time to force march and threaten to flank Mao west and position to capture Lanchow if the CCP fails to respond.
(2) These force marched flanking moves were made with a mind of keeping an (infinite) supply path open so that the units can be reorg.
(3) Japan has 3 army groups in China (Hato, Umezu & Yamashita).
(4) Japan disemarks from the China Sea, a tank corps to Yamashita & Osaka MIL to Hong Kong.
(5) These units should be enough to get good odds to clear Canton assuming better weather in the north monsoon next (axis) impulse.
(6) Because convoy lines to the NEI oil are broken, Japan took can not to fly any air missions, except rebase, that would flip air units.

Turn 23. May/June 1943. Axis #5.
MTO.
(1) Italy flies out their best F2 wing from La Spezia to cover the axis subs in the 2-box of the West Med.
(2) The Western Allies elect not to search, wanting to wait until the odds are better in their favor after next (allied) impulse naval air.
(3) With the US ZOC from green beach in Sicily cutting supply between Palermo and the axis in Syracuse, Reggio & Messina, the German cav corps in Syracuse moves to connect with Palermo and resupplies the corps in Messina & Reggio.
(4) Italian and German land reinforcements continue to move from the Balkans into northern Itlay.
(5) Italy also rails in an HQ from the Balkans.
(6) German rebases a F2 wing from Germany to La Spezia which, if needed, could fly out during next axis naval air to West Med, 2-box.
(7) Unfortunately, the Luftwaffe has no bombers or fighter-bombers to move in range of the trapped axis forces in Sicily which could provide defensive ground support AND rebase north of the allied lines near Naples.
(8) Otherwise, the bomber or fighter-bomber wing couldn't be oiled and would effectively be lost.

Turn 23. May/June 1943. Axis #5.
The Eastern Front.
Siberian Army Groups.
(1) Manstein and Guderian close on the retreating Soviets and position their armor to clear the eastern banks of the Soviet defensive river line, assuming the Soviets don't withdrawal across next (allied) impulse.
(2) Luftwaffe bomber and fighter wings also rebase forward.
(3) Way behind the lines, Kesslinger HQ-I, elite inf corps and inf div are railed in to address the loss and potential reinforcement of Volgograd.
(4) The last thing Germany needs is a Soviet front materializing and wreaking havoc behind their lines.

- 05-AX-Eastern-Siberian-EOI.png (1.46 MiB) Viewed 315 times
Southern Army Groups.
(1) Movement was significantly constrained by the weather.
(2) Mainly just a bit of shuffling troops around.
(3) The biggest movement was von Leeb's army moving from the Crimea across the southern straights of the Sea of Azov.
