About 10 hours to go !
So, stuman...

Apart from 'nothing at all', or 'sleep', what's on your short list of things to do post April 18?

A LOT of billing, then planning, then a long weekend goofing off. And then jumping back into the game.

Then some yard work, more billing, etc.

It's the best kind of Monday.  My son is on Spring Break, and I have hope of a good job starting soon.  We both slept in.  [:)]
Without queering the deal, what can you tell us about your optimistic job prospects, dude?

6 month contract to hire......seems 75% or more tech jobs are this way these days.....place has a software QA team in place, but needs someone as the team lead to implement best practices, etc. Right up my alley, and it would be a raise. [8D]

Nothing wrong with a raise !

Me too. Being an old Army puke, the Hog is the only one that really floats my boat. Just one hell of a beautiful airplane! Especially when you are on the ground and Wonder Warthog comes wandering by.

Gee Dr Gates, I know the Air Farce are the only ones allowed to have combat airplanes; except for the Marines that belong to the Navy, and their air support frikkin works, and our (Army) air support is only on CNN, where we don't see it and it's frikkin worthless, but it helps your media re-election numbers. So could you please let the combat services have the means necessary to perform their mission? Or are you as much of an @(^^$*@% as the @(^^$*@%'s who did this in the first damn place?

Part of the discussion I've seen over the years regarding keeping the Air Force separate from the Army is that having three major services doing the bureaucratic infighting is more politically stable than having two. [8|]

If anything should be exempt from Pournelle's Iron Law of Bureaucracy it's national defense. Alas the Iron Law is akin to a law of physics about humans.
"Pournelle's Iron Law of Bureaucracy states that in any bureaucratic organization there will be two kinds of people: those who work to further the actual goals of the organization, and those who work for the organization itself. Examples in education would be teachers who work and sacrifice to teach children, vs. union representative who work to protect any teacher including the most incompetent. The Iron Law states that in all cases, the second type of person will always gain control of the organization, and will always write the rules under which the organization functions."

Too true.

Early morning tithe...

3am now, crashed to sleep at 10pm last night on the couch. Woke-up with a stiff neck and the munches, but also with an urge to post. Must be some sort-of psychological condition's maybe, hope it is not the dreaded 'Faber' syndrome. God help me! [X(]

I other words, complaining about having too little on my "to do" list now that I'm off for a week isn't a good idea? [;)][:'(]

You're in the military, and you don't know it's a bad idea to complain about not having enough to do?[X(]
