Zovs, that image seems entirely appropriate right now - the sun looks like it is melting the mountains! Just saw a report on TV that hospitals in the Phoenix area are being overwhelmed with burn victims who touched metal objects or pavement with their bare skin. Apparently surface temps in sunshine can reach as high as 180º F there! I think their will be climate refugees fleeing from such places soon.

Well, we might get up to 73 F or maybe 23 C today along with more thunderstorms. Which would be a lot warmer than it has been.

Contractors and pillars upon the pavement sand,
Dehydrated water chilled on ice,
A piggy bank full of wine,
Climate change and burning arms,
Pushing through the pain the owl remains,
Cooked like a chicken over burning coals.
