Shocking turn this week.....

Our strongest bombers only showed up to battle with very small numbers having little to no effect on the enemy
All our generals excuted there attacks poorly
Our Pz troops waiting in ambush position have stalled in there attacks. This attack had 2 Soviet tank armies in there sight but the abality to reach there goals is now gone.

The strong panzer korps near Minsk was indentified last week. Stavka has deceided not to attack it yet. Our plan is simple: let the panzers strike first, the germans should not have enough backup mobile troops to save it from our 7 tank armies near if commited in a deep strike.

We continued to bully the german infantry with heavy armor. The results are mixed, but many german bombers supporting the infantry were shot down.

To our surprise the Soviets have not moved or reinforced there exposed flank NE of Minsk. This week the Luftwaffle took to the skies with greater numbers inflicting heavy damage to the defending Soviet divisions. The Panzers attack plan was the same as last week but this time we got results and shattered 1 tank army. We encircled another tank army but decided against trying to destroy it as if the attack failed our flanks would be exposed. Another reason for not attacking the encircled tank army is because a supporting Pz korps was attacked and retreated last week.

The reformation of Germanys Pz divisions and Luftwaffle is now complete. We are now waiting to see how effective this transformation is.

We suspect Henrici behind this... Our furious counter hit 2 panzer korpses which looked strong on recon. They were empty shells. La5's arrived to the front to spare some recyling costs before the new fighters come. The Luftwaffe should be effective in disposing them.

The front remains fairly static with minor German withdraws and retreats in the centre.
The committed VVS fighters were destroyed but at a loss of 2:1...1250 German losses, 2500 Soviet losses
We attacked 3 enemy armies advancing to our main lines of defence retreating all of them.

Only 2 attacks this week against advancing Soviet armies. 1 armie was retreated and the other held.

No more rebuilt Pz divisions are to be sent to the east so the Pz divisions in the east can get some much needed replacements. We plan to reform more Pz divisions and send them to the east early winter.

We currently have 11 Pz divisions and a numberr of mobile divisions in Russia

Some major troop movement this week to shift the focus of our attacks. We attacked with mass armor in the centre. We shattered an ss panzer korps there. It had two 70 year old solider, one cook, one general, 3 cats, 2 pistols and a 6 slings in it :(

Germany has created a new type of Pz korps in a attempt to give her some much needed hitting power. This korps was setup around Daugavpils last week to attack Soviet troops massing against this city. Our attack managed to encircle and destroy 1 tank army. We would of liked to commit another Pz korps to this attack to increace the opportunity to inflict greater damage to the Soviets but the other Pz korps is moving to a new area.

Our troops in the north were ordered to counterattack. The low morale troops run away instead. There is nothing left from the self confidence of 2 weeks ago. They are speaking of a 2000 tiger german panzer korps and fleeing in terror. Hruschov was dispatched to shot some defetist.

In the centre we continued to attack. A strong german panzer korps consisting 5 panzer division after reinforcement just held on despite odds of 5.

German Tigers look alot more fearful and numerous when they are support by the Luftwaffle and come out firing before the dust clears. Soviet generals have to exagerate the number of German tanks after a battle to Stalin or they risk getting shot.

Some soviet generals will be shot after that big defeat last week. There must be someone to blame. The high command does not make a mistake like that :)

A panzer korps like this severly threatens our plans to get our land back... We hoped for a small breathing time after V. Luki. But at least one german monster is back to punish our innocent troops.

Our tank armies continued the slow advancement in the centre and took back Minsk form the fascist troops. The summer is officialy over as snow begun to fall at the end of the week. We are quite please with this summer, but we are very disappointed that the enemy seemingly recovered from the battle of V. Luki and panzers threaten our operations increasingly.

Our southern front has been smashed and the VVS has complete control of the skies there. A great battle will take place in this sector very soon.

4 Pz divisions have been rushed to the south but they have not finished there refitting or training.

Directive 52 - Germany's 43/44 winter objectives...

Panzers...

Tigers to be refitted in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 4 named SS panzer divisions by winters end
The tiger is now considered obsolete and a replacement is needed urgently.
Panzer production to be diverted to jadgpanzer

Luftwaffle...

New airwings to be trained and equipped with fw's
Limit combat with the VVS as production will be needed to equip the new fighter airwings. Once this task is nearly complete, engage the VVS with full force.
Bomber production to be reduced to make way for increased fighter production

Army...

Jagdpanzers are urgently needed and in very large numbers to help stiffen up our INF defences. INF have take high losses with the lack of panzers presence
Pz divisions are needed to support the INF till such jadgpanzers are available

After the annihilation of the german panzers mid summer the red army tried to continously attack the german lines to avoid a fast rebuild of the panzers. We were moderately succesfull in the central swamp area, retaking Minsk. The 6 tank armies advancing there got a big boost in experience and they are filled with mostly guard units now. Recently advacement toward Poland failed miserably as the panzer troops of the enemy regained much of their strength, and with effective Luftwaffe support forced the advancing tank armies to retreat.

The Luftwaffe and the VVS both want to have the privilege to attack enemy airfields first. VVS has been moving to the north and to the south every week for a quite long time, but germans always pulled the main airfields just out of reach. As the fw's have suprior range to our fighter bombers we will have to suffer from their attack first before striking back....

We now produce kv85 which is nearly as good as the tigers. Reports from german infantry divisions with jagdpanthers make us sick. Raping german infantry with tank army were by far the most succesfull tactic for us.

In the south a big air battle is coming. If the VVS should win it, Ploesti will be our. The slight problem is that up to this date VVS has always lost against the Luftwaffe.

We only have one big goal for the winter. Get equal in the air with the germans. After that everything will be just fine.

The Luftwaffle has suffered its greatest defeat. 8 of the Luftwaffles finest fighter airwings have been training too close to the front and have been destroyed on the ground. Only 3 fighter wings managed to engage the enemy but they were out numbered and could not save the airfield.
