It' not a big priority, I guess, but I'm sure I've seen them in other games. As you say, it doesn't really have much effect.

Hi all,
since this is a testgame I just wanted to give some feedback and I still think the way things are set up are not optimal from a balance perspective.
However I was not really suggesting we stop the game. So suggest we continue and see how things develop in this testgame since the aim is mainly to be able to provide some feedback for the scenario designer....
Sorry if I caused some confusion.
Looking forward to get a turn here again soon.
Best Regards

The turn is with me. Somehow I've labelled it wrongly. I think I'll have to do the turn again. Apologies forthe delay.

Turn 13 from House Drako sent.
Small comment: I think the influence game is a bit too predictable. Once one house has any lead here it makes not much senser for another house to get involved (they would need to team up anyway). So how about randomizing the amount of influence points a house gets (maybe like 1-20 or so). In this way there would be an incentive for another house to try to overtake the others....

Lunaticus,
That's an interesting thought. One of the dynamics I was trying to do with the influence game was balancing the costs. Going for one of the factions is somewhat of a no brainer, if no-one is bidding against you. If you have to keep spending PP's to keep your rival from getting it...it might be a better option to use those PP's for Tech. Of course, even worse is getting into a bidding war and loosing...so you may have a point there.
The possibility of working with another House to foil a rival does exist though....and since Houses can trade resources with each other, there can even be some incentive offered. Randomizing it might not be a bad option though.

Seems like I had the turn again. My apologies.
Sent out turn 18 to GrumpyMel just now.
I think the problem is that after my turn the rebels play and by the time they are done I forget to send things around. Or an old age effect or something...

After playing this for some more turn I really would be happy about a sue for peace card. I am sharing a system with a friendly neighbour and having my transports intercepted every now and then is ... disturbing.
Also: I am getting a message every turn that somebody has been sabotaged my diplomatic efforts. I assume:
--> This is not affecting my church alliance?
--> Is somebody really paying political points each turn for this? Seems a bit strange to me especially since the effect is only to make further alliances more diificult?

Your right a sue for peace would be pretty usefull, shouldn't be too tough to put in. I'm on another project right now, but I'll work on getting it in when I have a chance. Not sure on the message you are getting....I can't imagine some-one would pay PP's to do that you at this point....but I haven't seen a bug like that before. The event code is only triggered from playing an action card...so that sounds like some-one is playing one. Shouldn't affect your Church status once you aligned them...but you should see it affecting your noble and guild status.
