I had 500 AP's and thought I ought to spend a bunch of them, say 100 of them, to avoid the addition next turn of more AP's than I can
legally have. I mean I don't want to waste any AP's by my not being able to receive them because I already have 500 or something.
At any rate, I spent the 1 AP to convert about 100 of my IL-2's to Mig-3's and Lagg-3's. Now I have no more IL-2's deployed in an air
base ( according to the Commanders Report on Aircraft ) and now there's a surplus of IL-2's in the pool. As soon as most of the Axis
fighters get shot down to a more managable level I might think about re-deploying the IL-2's but for now in the pool with them. I guess
you might guess that I don't think all that highly of the aircraft as an asset and besides I think I need the fighters to help clear the skies.
Or maybe I'll get a surplus of air bases and I can re-deploy them in the less contested areas, like up there against the Finns or some-
thing.

Build more cavalry corps. What you have isn't enough.

Will do. As you can see from the picture below I have only 4 of them so far.

You have cavalry divisions assigned to Airborne Corps. Do the horses have parachutes or do you just push them out of the plane and hope for the best? [:D]

Here's the Soviet moves for T29. I'm still attacking even though it's early Jan. '42. I figure I'm going to have to start thinking of building
some forts and go into defensive mode soon but I did want to attack a little bit longer.

Still looking pretty good.
You may want to send a couple rifle brigades to the far north to make contact with whatever is up there. Nothing fancy, just so there are no surprises.
There are a number of places where you can attack with triple stacks, so if it makes sense to tackle them, by all means do it.
Oh... and build more cavalry corps, with attachments of course.

Far has brought the Panzers forward to help hold the line where my breakthrough is happening. I guess that means that my
advance has met it's match and the progress will stop. I'll start building my defensive lines then, I guess.

Thank you very much. I'm finding more and more Axis units with a bit higher CV though.....it is 08Jan42 and the winter effects are
starting to wear off I guess. I'm going to start building my defensive lines either this turn or next turn........I can't decide which yet.

You and I think alike......I've already started moving that way with two Armies. There's no rail near there so it's going to be slow going
but they are on their way already.

"It is a fact that under equal conditions, large-scale battles and whole wars are won by troops which have a strong will for victory, clear goals before them, high moral standards, and devotion to the banner under which they go into battle."
- G. Zhukov
Don't let the presence of two panzer divisions deter you. If there are still opportunities to attack... then attack.

You should be happy that those tanks are there - that way you can beat them up. They'll be a lot less dangerous if they lose lots of equipment, morale, etc.
Keep advancing!

And if you don't like me quoting Zhukov, I'll give you one from Frederick the Great.

January, 1942? Blizzard turns are still hurting the Axis. You'll have snow or blizzard through March, then mud in April/May. Keep throwing haymakers!

I've got so many people in the AO now that they are starting to get into each other's way. Time to stop railing people here. I've got too
many here as it is. At least they are semi-organized.
