Admittedly I don't say this often, but I'm with Ashbery. Any idea as to when we're going to see an official release of the next update?

Hi everyone,
We have a new beta, but our schedule on the production side is so overloaded right now that I'm not sure when we will be able to release it. We will do our best to get it done before the weekend, but there are several other updates in line ahead of it.
Regards,
- Erik

Oh well I'm sure we can survive a little more waiting. [;)]
Thank for keeping us updated Erik.

Ouch. Not what I wanted to hear. Been waiting a week+ to start a new game. Oh well.
Guess I'll just pout.

But is it really time consuming task to put a file if it's already here to download area? Maybe I simply don't understand how gamedev companies work, so I'm sorry if that question sounds silly.
I have bought Legends right at day 1 but haven't time to play it since, and now there is a free holiday ahead.
*Sigh* guess it's time to start without patch, hovewer inefficient AI designs is a big drawback, I think.

It's not just linking to the file, someone has to do the documentation, then a quality control to make sure there are no errors in said documentation, then they can put it live. You'd be surprised how time consuming a new patch release can become.

Ehm, we are talking about next BETA patch, are we? What documentation comes with it? Haven't seen any, besides patch notes.

Yep and if something is wrong in those patch notes the whining would be loud and non-stop. You always want to make sure you dot all the i's and cross all the t's when dealing with the public.

They may feel they have to do some minimal amount of testing, to make sure it doesn't crash everyone's machines or have a virus.
Looks like we're not getting it for the weekend. [:(]
Oh well, I'm sure they tried.

Was looking forward to playing with some of the pre-design stuff.
On the plus side, I'll probably spend that time working and perhaps finishing the Picard era mod. I'll leave all the designs until a later version rather than stack up my work load and postpone release of the mod.
Good luck chaps. Bring us a good patch, but bring us a safe and reliable patch also. [:)]

I am sure that that is what is happening. These guys work hard to put out a first rate product.
