As you can see from the TF display I've found some escorts for the Houston and the Boise. I'm seeing more ships in the northern Jap
group of ships but the southern group doesn't seem to have any ships that can shoot back and has an AP probably. I'm going after the
southern group first. Then tangle w/ the northern group later.

I'm going to move up the four DD's in TF 402 to back up the Houston and Boise group to their north.

I'm hoping that the southern Jap group is really moving SE because I intend to try to keep them within range of my aircraft for at least 1
more day before they get closer to some land-based air power, after which I'll back off. I haven't determined where they should go after
that.....I'm thinking the Rabaul area maybe.

Last night these guys were baby-sitting Hong Kong and today they are run out of gas in the middle of nowhere and can't reach anywhere
so they are just going to drift along 1 hex at a time until they get sunk I guess. Oh, and thanks for your services you guys. You made the
war just a little bit shorter because of what you guys did. See you after the war.

The Commander of S-39 doesn't have any information concerning a minefield at Bubble Drop. He's going to gingerly go in there and find
out one way or another. Whatever it takes to get to those Jap ships. Remind me to buy him a beer next time I see him.

All there is at Guam is some engineers.....I took a look and there's like 8 Marine Rifle Squads there but they won't last long. I expect that
Guam is going to fall sometime soon.

I told the Montanes to evacuate to Dadjangas but I doubt they will get there.....they took considerable damage. Plus,
there's an enemy TF in the hex. And to top everything off it's still on fire too.

On second thought I'll dock that bad boy right there at Davao and see if docking it makes the fire go out. We'll at least get the crew off
the boat before it goes down. May have to scuttle her.

A Jap sub gets another of my boats. Too bad I don't have enough escorts to escort everybody. Maybe I should put off shipping anything
for a while to let the subs "go away". Or until I get some more escorts. I know.....I'll use all those otherwise useless AMC boats as
escorts. That'll help out. I wonder if those little local minesweepers have any ASW capability. I'll look that up and get back to you.

And then there were several uneventful sub attacks by both sides and then one of my subs got lucky:

This is the Wildcat group on Wake. Morale is good fatigue is low. I boosted the CAP to 90% in an effort to get everybody airborne from
now on.

This attack is the first indication I've had so far that leads me to believe that Elmer has one or more carriers in this fight near Rabaul.
Well, that changes the whole dynamic. I'll have to escape and evade that carrier until I can get one or more of my carriers to come into
this fight.
