I was looking around w/ the cursor ( recon by cursor: select an arty unit or aircraft unit and mouse around the various hexes ) and I seem
to have found a VC unit. So I guess I should find somebody to force that dude off that bridge hex so he can't blow the bridge. I can
probably destroy him later......the bridge is a priority for now.

I selected an aircraft unit and did the mouse around technique to discover a bridge that had been converted to enemy control. Or maybe
there's an enemy unit present in that hex. Either way I need to send somebody over there to investigate. I'd like to save that bridge if I
can.

Here's the results of that brown-water boat attack. I lost 2 of my best planes and the NLF didn't suffer any damage at all. D'oh.

So after my attacks the game engine went to T10 and the NFL had their chance to move and there's a new threat picture to show you:

The ARVN 21st Rangers found a VC unit in the mountains and I've tasked some F-4's to pound them to soften them up a little bit and to
do a recon by fire to see what kinds of equipment is in that unit. The 11th Rangers are to their south and they are threatened by three
regiments of the NVA. I'm thinking I might ought to get those rangers to safety by seeing if I can't evacuate them by helicopter to a
safer position. There's probably three or four VC units that are invisible still lurking in the bush somewhere.

Here's what I decided to do about the situation w/ the three NVA regiments. I'm going to try to use the Marines to push to the SW to get
the regiments out into the valley away from the mountains, and to try to take on the enemy one regiment at a time. I'm going to lay on
the air support and I've moved the arty up into range. I think some prep w/ air strikes is in order. Maybe I should attack later in the turn
after the air preps the target a bit or maybe I should strike those guys multiple times by air to really soften them up. Depends on the
losses in aircraft really.

Some of my brown-water boats found another VC unit just off the river sitting on the road. I need to send somebody to investigate this
unit and maybe an air strike is in order.

I thought we were attacking a VC unit but nnnnnnoooooooo, it turns out to be a main force NVA regiment and that means it might be a
handful to dispatch.

26 squads is already more than I wanted to lose. Especially since they are my highly trained Rangers. But the loss ratio tells me that the
ARVN troops aren't for attacking, they are for blocking. So I'll block and move some heavy infantry into the area for this task. That and
some more F-100 air strikes.

I lost half my brown-water boats in this attack. Note to self: From now on the brown-water boats are just for recon and not attack.

One NVA Regiment down and two to go. So far so good.

And more good news: we dispatched the VC unit near Saigon.

One of my outposts down south was attacked by three elements of a VC unit and Allied air power saved the day.

New turn new threat picture: It's starting to get really busy out there. I'm probably going to have to request the 1st Cav pretty soon.

So......the NVA are coming out to play are they? One NVA division on the DMZ and another moving south on the road from Dong Hoi.
I'm going to need some more marines to hold the line in the far north. Maybe the 27th Regiment isn't doing anything important and can
move right now.

I've moved the three elements of the 4th Marine Regiment to Duc Pho for shipment to Phu Bai next turn. They are probably going to
need some more arty too. I'll look into shipping some arty to the far north as well.

The attack on that VC unit near Tay Ninh was a splendid sucess.

A different attack that didn't go quite so well:

This attack gave the ARVN relatively high losses so I'm guessing that the target needs to be softened up a bit before I attack again.
Maybe some air strikes will debilitate the NFL units that they will be pushovers.

One more NVA unit bit the dust and now there's one more and a VC unit to kill.
