Now that most of the German army is disorganized the fine weather arrives.

No declarations of war.

Germany can align both Hungary and Bulgaria but declines to do so for now.

Both Germany and Japan take a land impulse.

Italy send a convoy point to the Eastern Mediterranean in order to put the forces in Libya in supply.

Both Germany and Japan send a naval bomber to bomb strategically. The German bombers missed their target but the Japanese bombers hit their target once again. [X(]

No ground strikes. No rail movement.

In the south of China the Japanese forces change focus and seem to have caught their general by surprise with this move.

The 48th Panzer Corps continue to move accross Germany and has almost reached the West front. Germany moves troops into Calais. German second line units concentrate on Strasbourg.

After the failure of the attacks the last impulse there is a high level of frustration on the Axis side. Therefore Japan and Germany launch some low odds attacks. Figuring that there is not much to lose this late in the turn.

That Germany would attack Strasbourg might not have been a complete surprise to the Allied High Command. But the renewed assault on Warsaw by just two corps sure was. Both attacks in China was also a surprise. The attack by Yamamoto I should have seen and it annoys me that I missed it when I moved the Chinese units.

Germany fly a 4 strength Stuka in support of the Strasbourg attack and a 4 strength Junkers Ju 88 support the Warsaw attack.

Japan finally captures that mountain hex. It would have been nice if Japan, for once, had rolled high on a land combat roll.

And Warsaw falls to the unexpected German assault.

Germany rebase a Bf 109 closer to the West front. All the German fighters are now based close to the French lines.

The turn ended on a 1 (50% chance for the turn to end).

No partisans.

One US entry chit picked and moved to the Japanese pool. No US entry options picked.

CW used two oil to reorganize all units. France reorganized all units except 2 SCS and thereby didn't need to spend any oil at all.

Germany need to spend 5 oil to reorganize all units but has only 4 oil available. I decided to use only 3 oil for reorganization leaving several oil dependent units in Poland disorganized including a HQI. Japan spent 1 oil to reorganize all units except one cruiser.

Axis destroy a few blue factories.

Germany scrap two LND3

Germany place only one militia as reinforcement. Italy gets no reinforcements to place at all. Japan get 2 militia, 1 territorial and 1 LND2 from the reserve pool. Much of the Japanese CVP have been removed to the reserve pool and the pilots transferred to scrappy Japanese bombers.

CW scrap a FTR2 and a LND3. CW place 1 militia in India. France place one FTR2, one FTR3 and two militia. USA scrap one FTR2 and one MOT. USSR place one LND4 and one INF. Communist China place 1 MIL and 1 INF.

CW send two resources to France.

The initiative track has moved two steps towards the Allied side and is now in the neutral zero box. Axis wins the die roll even though Allies win ties. After pondering long Allies decides that they want to go first and ask for a reroll. The track move to the Axis +1 box but the reroll resulted in that the Allies won the initiative and moves first this turn.

Winter has now arrived to Europe.

On the one hand, the weather obviously isn't good for German land attacks or ground strikes.

On the other, the French line still isn't all that solid. In particular, the hex southeast of Lille adjacent to three German-controlled hexes is vulnerable, and a German blitz could result in a breakthrough.
