I am an impatient person but I have to wait like everyone else. Can we start planning on who is playing what nation or group of nations.

If more than 3 players and we play nations I pick JAPAN.

If just 3 players--I really don't care....but I would like to try AXIS.

I can't prevent you from planning, so go ahead. However it must be said that I find 3 players optimal for speed of turn around. 5 players would however have several advantages. One of them is that you won't find yourself lonely and that might be motivation in itself to play when things get rough. That brings me to the second point, that you need to really commit yourself to this game. Turns can take a very long time, and that can be quite taxing. Among other things, this is why I recommend playing with No PBEM protection, so you can in fact save during a turn...
