Looks like CW might have sent only TERR to do the job, no need to bring other units to this fight...
Division enters Amman.

The Italian division that just died in Amman got there because MWiF does not give +1 to a notional adjacent to a territorial. I have no idea where Steve got this rules interpretation; it looks simply wrong to me. There is nothing in the rules saying that the territorial does not give the +1 of any other corps sized unit.
Is there a rule someplace that I have missed?

No, no rule. Steve has decided it is like this. Hence it is like this. No bonus to notionals for being in ZOC of TERR units.
Edit: he motivates it with that TERR units are weaker than other Corps sized units (they have a negative combat modifier when fighting alone), and therefore it is logical that they do not provide any notional bonus.

Germany DOW Netherlands. No US reaction. (6 rolled)
Will CW align Netherlands?
And how will the Dutch units be placed?

Align with CW.
INF to Capital, NEI unit on oil field.
TRS, sub and maximum amount of CPs to Caribbean (as close to UK as possible).
Remaining ships to Rotterdam.

The Italian SUB finds the British convoy and sinks it. (Axis 3, Allies 9)
4 surprise points were used to reduce and result on the SUB. 4 points to increase damage done (only 2 needed).

The Italians decide to stay. The CW cruisers can abort if they want.
I am going to assume that the British forces stay and continue with the game. If they want to abort then I can go back. (Either way there will be no new combat round since the SUB will be excluded)

Axis decline to add any new air to the sea area.
CW can fly one LND3 up to the 3-box. Will CW add the bomber to the West Med?

Italian Pilot: There are no enemy shipping here. No need to spend energy to search.
German Pilot: Why fly at all when you can relax in the warm Autumn weather and chat up a friendly Italian lass.
French Admiral: This is the perfect sea vacation.
British Captain: We rule the waves and the Italian fleet are to scared to try and fight us. And aircrafts can do nothing at all to hurt us.
Anyway. Both sides rolls 10 and have no clue whatsoever.
