(1) Mao uses 4 of 5 Soviet land moves to press his armies forward to dig in opposite the IJA north of the Yellow River.
(2) Mao himself with his HQ reserve forces move into, garrison and defend Chengchow.
(3) This is, indeed a bold move that puts Mao directly on the front line.
Nationalist.
(4) The Nationalist also press forward and dig in opposite their IJA counterparts in central China.
(5) Little movement in the south with the exception of the 14th inf army moving into Changsha.
