(1) What we have here in these Pre Impulse Briefs, which are now being driven by War Directives, is a
manual AI.
(2) Also, since I'm playing this game, or executing this counterfactual simulation, at a glacial pace; I'm finding the below evolving approach an absolute necessity to remotely acceptable play.
(3) Otherwise, this CF simulation, I fear, would go off the rails in a specular train wreck fashion.
(4) Now as I discovered and which you astute followers will see, a few deviations from the following pre-briefs occurred.
(5) These deviations were few in number and generally minor; however, with one exception.
(6) Minor deviations and even a major exception I chalk up to a Theater commander taking the initiative (i.e., acting first and then asking for permission later).
(7) In game play terms, these occurred when I noticed something better, or wanted to do something different or additional, during playing the impulse vs what I planned out in these pre briefs.
