Sir Henry Leach dies today. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13216188

Another sea dog gone. Interesting stuff about his ww2 experiences. I wonder how he got out of Singers.

He was on HMS Mauritius which we all know was in refit in Singers at the time.

Hi all,

Good evening!

Then it's one of the few lucky breaks the RN got during that campaign.

Admiral Leach was a great Sea Lord, ranked with the greatest leaders in the long history of the Royal Navy. But most of all he believed in the skill and professionalism of the Navy. He has now joined his Father after a long and distinguished life, rest in peace.

Looking for some mischief?

Here is something I did last Friday. Rescently I had had to get a couple of converter boxes to make my older televisions digitally compatible for our local cable company. I took one of the remotes to my local watering hole after work. While the boys were sitting at the bar watching ESPN Sportscenter on a older television with the new converter box. I sat at a table with couple of buddies and used the remote to switch to religuous channels, home shopping networks, PBS at that hour or any other cruddy channel I could think up. Everytime they changed it back I'd switch it again. Drove them and the bartenders nuts. Like monkeys trying to fiigure out the properties of fire. It was a blast. Or is it just me.[:D]

Just saw The King's Speech. Liked it a lot.

Wife and I got a Christmas present from one of her sons - for Gold Class Cinemas. Watched the King's Speech in recliners, with dinner, drinks, white and dark chocolate popcorn, and more drinks. Had to chip in a few extra bucks on top of the $100 gift card. Great movie, great experience - well worth the cost (especially when someone else is paying).

Yeah I would rate it as one of the best movies in recent times.

Wait a second.........dark chocolate popcorn......WTF ???????

Hockey rink - Tithe. [&o]

I'm looking forward to watching The King's Speech.  That will probably come later this summer, after my wife finishes her contract for the second full time job she's working right now.  It will be awesome to spend regular time with her again.  [8D]
