Turn 23. May/June 1943. Allied #11.
MTO.
(1) Allied HQ-A, mech & Mtn corps in contact with axis forces in mainland Italy move out of contact to get the +2 garrison value (each).
(2) Where prudent and not compromising allied front line defenses, other allied corps (+1) also move out of contact.
(3) NZL MIL rushes down the boot of Italy to make contact with and block the OOS German MIL from moving north and making contact with allied +2 garrison value units.
(4) Looks like it's going to be a total surrender of all Italian forces at the end of the turn with an estimated (after reorg) Western Allied garrison value of 30 - 40 vs 15 - 20 for Italy.

Turn 23. May/June 1943. Axis #12.
Actions.
Combine - Japan, looking to sink Western Allied supply CPs in the Arabian Sea. Wouldn't that be some sweet payback!
Land - Germany, Italy. Need to prepare in Italy, France & Balkans what looks to be an unconditional Italian surrender of all their armed forces to the allies.

- 12-AX-Actions.png (43.25 KiB) Viewed 404 times
Western Front.
(1) Railing & moving in German units to France and the Low Countries in anticipation of the pending Italian surrender.
(2) Even some high quality (i.e., panzer and mech corps) units sent in, which are to be replaced by second line garrison units when available to free up these killers for frontline service.
MTO.
(1) Italian frontline units moved off the line and replace with German units.
(2) More Italian units from outside of Italy railed and moved home (to Italy).
(3) Estimated Italian garrison after reorg is 22, which is still far short of the allied 30 to 35.

Turn 23. May/June 1943. Axis #12.
Asian Front. China (End of Impulse).
(1) Japan only had 3 land moves due to the combine.
(2) They used them to link up with supply to the IJA elite inf army that broke through last impulse to Ordos Desert, behind the CCP Sian enclave.

Turn 23. May/June 1943. Axis #12. PTO.
The Arabian Sea.
(1) It's been nothing but bitter fighting for the RN, USN against German, Italian & Japanese subs to keep supply lines open to the Med, Middle East and UK BEF in southern USSR.
(2) The Western Allies lose another 2 CPs this impulse in that fight, for 6 total lost and 2 aborted this turn.
(3) Also, the IJN Sub Sq has broken supply the Western Allied forces in the Middle East and Southern USSR.

Turn 23. Axis #12. End of Turn Check.
D10(6) = 9 -> turn continues -> Allied #13.
The Western Allies IF they have reserve CP(s) in range can replace one or both of the 2 CPs lost in the Arabian Sea last impulse and restore supply to the Western Allies in the Middle East & Southern Russia and reform the CP line necessary to ship an Indian BP from the CW to the USSR.
Turn 23. Allied #13.
(1) It was a close thing but the Western Allies; specifically the CW, have a 12 reserve CPs of which 2 (Cape Town & Port Louis) are in range of the Arabian Sea.
(2) So with a combine the CW can replace the 2 Arabian Sea CPs sunk last impulse.

Weather.
No change (D10=6). Fine everywhere except for rain in the north monsoon.
Actions.
(1) Combine - CW (obviously) & USA (want another shot in the South China Sea against the IJN).
(2) Land - Free France, USSR, China.
(3) 70% turn ends.

Turn 23. May/June 1943. Allied #13. The Eastern Front.
Southern Fronts. End of Impulse.
(1) Bitter fighting last impulse by the Soviets against the German offensive to hold the ragged Caucuses Mtn line.
(2) They move what they can to try to fill the breech on the Western flank of that line.
(3) Wavell's BEF is back in supply.

Turn 23. May/June 1943. Allied #13. The Eastern Front.
Siberian Fronts.
(1) Marshall Zhukov claims it's an old Russia saying that, "Those who take risks make their own luck".
(2) Zhukov launches a bold, high risk, high gain counter offensive against the southern flank of the German Siberian Army Groups.
(3) His counter offensive is a smashing success as his forces destroy two German corps (panzer, mech), force a second panzer corps to retreat and encircle a third panzer corps, panzer div, mech corps & Luftwaffe fighter wing.

Turn 23. May/June 1943. End of Turn. Italian Surrender Questions?
(1) Before I post end of turn and the loads of action associated with Italy's complete surrender to the CW, I need some clarification from you rules experts whether or not MWIF handled a couple of critical things correctly or not?
(2) If not, then I need to address them because they are critical.
Situation in northern Italy just before surrender.

- 99-Med-Trieste-Pola-Just-Before-Italian-Surrender.png (1.91 MiB) Viewed 324 times
Situation During & After.
(3) 8th SS Mot div in Trieste & 10 SS mech div in Pola both forced to relocate out of Italy though control of both cities transferred to Germany.
(4) I can't make sense of this, can anyone please?

Italian Sub Fleet & Surviving RM CA joins Germany.
(5) On Map Italian Subs and 1 CA was transferred to Germany (well any axis but I choose Germany).
(6) Is this correct?
(7) That is only Italian land and air on map are completely removed after complete conquest, not naval?

CA Goriza in Trieste.
