The pizza example is not counterintuitive for anyone who understands square progressions. It's the reason an 8" shell weighs about 2.5 time the weight of a 6" shell.

Dairy Queen had a problem. Their burgers were 1/3 pounders but some people thought that 1/4 pounders were larger because 4 is larger than 3. Unfortunately, people like that are allowed to vote . . .

What scares me more is the thought of "intelligent people" deciding who is allowed to vote, or not.

Most of us, I suspect, makes mistakes. So who among us is perfect enough to decide who is allowed to vote, or not?
