I think you'd need the time travel super power just to get back what you wasted on the x-ray/super perv power.
By the way, you don't need x-ray vision to have the super perv power. [:D]
[:D]

Back to normal after your whiff of the bird flu?

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the post on the main forum. Serious mistake on my part to answer a question on the main forum. My bad. Forgot that most are pre-teens and don't really care about answers. Won't make that mistake again. [;)]

Ciao. J

Glad you're feeling better Des. I can't imagine what losing 30kg feels like (especially when you don't want to).

Anarchy, you been goin' to any Roman Orgies lately?

ETA: My mended super perv abilities allowed me to immediately assess the origin of your 'log in' [:D]

Haven't had H5N1 before. This was my first bout with Strep throat. Pretty nasty bug, that. I haven't been that febrile since I had influenza once in College. Anyways, not back to normal, but I think I'm on the mend. [:)]

It's so clear today that you can see Ft. Worth 30 miles away . . . . it's 75 degrees out . . . . I have margarita mixer in my fridge . . . . my motivation is plummeting . . . . it's imperative to take half a day off.

Y'all have a great weekend.

As one who used to live in Richardson, I can ask this question: "Why would you want to do that?"

ETA: I suppose it IS better than seeing Fort Worth just 10 miles away, but not quite as good as seeing Fort Worth 40 miles away.

Tithe...

Spoke to my boss's boss today. She called me into her office to explain that even though she was responsible for my sacking, she was "sorry", my work had been "excellent", and I would be given glowing references. Whoop-di-doo.

Got a condo right behind Rush Creek Yacht Club right after I graduated and went to work for TI (still have it, I think; at least I'm still paying taxes on it). Lived there for 2 1/2 years. Some of the best years of my life. Some of the best sailing in my life. Gotta say that Ft Worth Boat Club was well worth going to. Glen Darden was a man to beat, and it didn't happen often. Eagle Mountain Lake was a dinghy sailor's dream (or nightmare, whatever). Kinda like Ft Worth.

Thanks, Des! [:)]

How are you feeling these days?  Gaining some strength back?

Getting better thanks Mike, the Doc's tell me I'm responding well to the treatment. Last test showed that the tumour has gone dormant, and I'm also putting on weight. Problem is that I went down in weight from 86kg to 55kg, and lost a lot of muscle mass too. I'm now up to 63kg in one and a half months, but the legs aren't used to that weight yet. But I'm alive and still kicking, so life is all good. [;)]

Good news Des!

A yacht club? In Fort Worth? It's fracking light years from the ocean!

Watching Alien with the DU. (Is there only one alien in it?)
Nein. There's the face sucker, the chest exploder and at least one adult / gravid female phase.

That makes three, not nein.
chest exploder and the adult are the same beastie in different phases...

Helmut, nee Jean, nee 5thGuardsTankArmy, and nee God knows who else (Japan) is back looking for an opponent. This should be fun, if it goes like his past attempts.

You mean called you in as in you had to schlep into the office just to hear that? She couldn't tell you when they sacked you? Or call you on the telephone? [:(]

Well duh, brush head, Eagle Mountain Lake, Lake Ray Hubbard, Lake Travis, down by Austin. Just where the heck you think all those Olympic Champions come from any way? New Ferkin Jersy? [;)]
