Finally saw a Star Wars film.

The original one from 1977 or whenever. Probably unfair to be overly critical now, but I would say it hasn't dated well. Some excellent actors - Sir Alec Guiness chief amongst them - but not a great film. By the way, who taught the Stormtroopers to shoot?

The same guy who taught the Germans to shoot in every WWII movie. [:D]

So what prompted this epic undertaking?

The Stormtroopers seem to shoot well enough as long as they do not shoot at the heroes. Unless, of course, they shoot to stun. [:D]

The best bit was when the two droids - moving at a snails pace - had to cross the corridor. No Stormtrooper could hit them apparently....

Now you have to take them to see 'The Empire Strikes Back' and 'The Return of the Jedi' before seeing 'The Force Awakens'.
Or rent them or whatever.

Eh, does not EVERYBODY own those?! If not so, shame!!!

So, noticed that the national TV station (NRK) was sending "Apocalypse : The world at war", which I have not seen in ages. Thought "great!". Sat down to watch the first episode, and noticed a few things...

1. It is dubbed into norwegian (which is VERY rare here).
2. The man dubbing it has NO idea about anything WWII related.
3. The man who did the texting seems to be the same guy as in #2.

So, after 20 minutes of shouting "USSR, not Russia", "There is a difference between the names Hitler and Himmler", "What about the norwegian, greek, dutch etc ships sailing to Britain?", I had to turn it off. That was painful to watch, and it is sad for several reasons;

-it is a good series that alot of people should watch
-someone might actually think they learn facts, when they are thaught incorectly
-appearantly you just have to pass your englush exam to become a translator in Norway
-it is always sad to see grown up people (you can tell from his voice) that does not even recognize that the picture shown is NOT Hitler, but Himmler. But then again, since he did not seem to know the name Himmler, how could he...

Save us from ignorance sweet Jebus!

Truly the most devastating war movie ever created [:(] Powerful beyond belief!

What a tour-de-force. I will never forget the first time I watched Come and See. It affected me unlike any movie before or since. That was about 15 years ago and the memory is still vivid. Of course I bought it and have watched it several times since. Each time it hits hard.

Watched Game of Thrones....Got addicted and watched it all in about 2 weeks
Actually was glad when it finished and got back to Wargaming lol [:)]

I've been watching the F1 Legends series on Sky from time to time. Saw Niki Lauda in the week and this has me itching to watch the brilliant Rush again [8D]
