Yes. Instructions, target the bomber. Stay until the bombers is either shot-down, aborted or cleared or the fighter is aborted or shot down. Rebased in the woods behind the Dnieper.
I will run the battle shortly, but the fighter will not make it back over the Dnieper. It's range is 3 and that is too far from the site of the battle.
Never mind.

Ronnie,
I believe there is a bug, check the Tech Support Area.
I believe you should have the option of flying 1 pt of ground support into an attack on St-Malo, but the CW is never given the option.
Attack is 12:12 for +2, +5 for flipped units and +0.5 for blitz with the ARM-division. I have nothing that can reach the hex and the only support you can provide is the Albacore, all of your shore bombardment has been used getting ashore and the two CA remaining face-up are carrying divisions. If you wish to fly, then we will need to off-line determine and roll the fractional and then modify the actual roll as needed.
I believe the fractional would be 5/6ths of a chance for me to get to +2, otherwise it is +1(2:3 odds). I could roll the fractional on ACTS and it would send you a notice of the roll as well. I could roll it has a 1000 side dice or a 6 sided dice.
Pat
P.S. There are two other attacks on the East Front, but no reaction is possible.

OK. If you have the dice I trust you to manually roll them. But go ahead with the defensive ground support and resolve as you feel is correct.

MJ42 i3 Land attacks. Three attacks, we will start with the St-Malo, where I believe there is a bug that is not letting the CW fly the Albacore for ground support. Ronnie is flying it. Here is my calculations
odds of 12:13 are 5/6 of the way from 12:18 (2:3 = +1) and 12:12 (1:1 = +2), so the modifier is 1 + 5/6 = +1.8333
Then +5 for disorganized defenders
and +0.5 for ARM div in a blitz
Total is +7.333
With an external die roller I rolled a 5 on 6-sided die resulting in a missed fractional
So the total modifier should be +7 on the Blitz. (I set the fractional die roll in the image below to ensure the fractional was missed). Net result was an 18, which retreated the defenders off the beach (destroyed with no retreat path).

MJ42 i3 end:
Here are images of two key areas.
Notice the Blitz in the Ukraine has isolated, at least temporarily, several Russian armies and threatens the resources.
The heroic ARM division is under the 5-1 Garrison. They are marching to take out Brest next.

Turn 17. May/June 1942. Allied #4. Actions.
The allies have their work cut out for themn to try to right the ship after a very well played impulse by Pat. The US and CW have a "Dieppe" on their hands at the beaches of Brest and St-Malo. The latter of which have just seen all allied forces their overrun and pushed back into the sea. In the Pacific, the Japanese continue to expand their sphere of control and now have put the US bases at Rabaul and Port Vila out of supply. And, let's not forgot the Eastern Front, the axis in southern Russia have put an entire Soviet Front out of supply and at risk of encirclement.
I must admit that I am up against a superior opponent and who's kicking my proverbial rear end. Pat is meticulous, relentless and an outstanding strategist. And you know what, I'm having a blast! Though this is a game I feel that I'm "interacting" with history. The situation that I encounter now in this game, I feel must be similar to how the allied leaders "felt" in the dark days of late 1941 and early 1942 in WW2. Well, with the very real and critical exception that my casualties are virtual counters removed from the map versus flesh and blood. A most comforting exception I must say.

Yes. Target is the transport primarily. Sub will dive deep and not be committed to the battle.
