I've been drinking alcohol for the past 25 years and only had tequila 3 times. Every time I've regretted it.

Jeff,

Been a while without seeing much of you around. Congrats on the anniversary. Wife and I celebrate our 17th in two weeks. God-where does the time go? [8D]

Anywho-how's trading life going? WSJ had an interesting article on NoDak corn production supplanting wheat for the first time in like forever. Interesting days in the commodity grain world for those that follow.

Trading has been ok...fairly slow. I have been on the road a bit setting up a new trader at his farm. He is a customer of ours that trades on his own that we finally convinced to trade for us. So, I have been going back and forth to his place to make sure he has all the proper equipment..yada yada.. Men's night golf, tball, summer activities..you know.... It is a very interesting time right now. The entire world is out of beans, they only exist in museums. Our corn crop should be back to pre 2011 numbers this fall I truly believe. We have appx 23" of rainfall every year. We've had 13 plus or minus each of the last two years, and we're approaching 15 already and the 100 degree days didn't show up till a week or so again, when last year it was middle of May. Summers are just a busy busy busy time for me. I like the fall and winter, because I get more me time, but my oldest is now to the point where he tags along on everything till sundown. Pretty fun, though. You know how that is. You're wife must be a pretty special lady to put up with a Cowboy's fan for 17 years..wowzah

*goes by on pogostick* Tithe and congrats to Jeff on all occasions.

Much appreciated. One of the gals who I put trades in with in Kansas City all day long has the last name of Gronlund. You're neck of the woods. However, her dad is full Finn and came here as an exchange student. Her mother she said is English, though. Her first name is actually Ingrid..Sweedish/Norwegian I am guessing. But Gronlund I knew was Danish before I even asked her. I have been reading about the Norman invasion of England as of late and just asked her the other day. Is that a common last name there or not really? That, and I have been playing Crusader Kings 2 a lot lately with my bro...fun game for those interested in wanting to kill an hour in the evening and end up spending five.

Thanks again.

Not common, but not unheard of at all. Finland is kind of a special case because they speak both Finnish and Swedish there (lots of ethnic Swedes, including your contact's dad, going by the name). There'd be an umlaut, ie "Grönlund". The Danish version would be "Grønlund".

Also, Crusader Kings 2 is loads of fun, if a little daunting to get into. Now where have I heard that before?[:D]

Cool deal on the history lesson. I don't know how to type with the symbols.

CK2 is a lot of fun..figuring it out for the most part. I really liked the characters in EU: Rome, but it seemed to be lacking a lot. Wouldn't mind seeing it be remade now with the success of CK2.

Thanks.

Another day done at work. They made me work on the Dakota today, my least favourite of all the BBMF aircraft. I don't care that it was one of the most important aircraft of the war, probably the most important in India/Burma near the end. It fails the 6 year old test, does a small child think it's cool? They never ask how many people it can carry, they ask how many bombs and guns it can carry and how fast it goes. And the big green dolphin fails on all those criteria [:D]

Worked in a mexican restaurant in NY for a year. A good one. We tried tequilas 4-5 times a week. I've had about 60-70 different kinds.

The best stuff (which is a bit more expensive, but not outrageous) is like vodka. Little to worry about for bad hangovers. Very pure. The worst, like Cuervo, is, well, the worst.

If you're going to drink it, only have the stuff that says "100% pure Agave" on the label. That means it doesn't have sugars and other crap added on the cheap.

Chamucos is a personal fave!

Hear hear. Some of the better tequillas are excellent sipping liquors. Very smooth.
