Oh man... my brother and I did have that sub....... we saved our grass cutting money to buy it. It was made of a kind of Masonite type of stuff. We put it in our pool and got in, but it absorbed the water and disintegrated. My dad was not a happy camper when it came apart , as thousands of pieces of the material clogged the filter and he made us drain the pool and clean it.
But we did save like $650,000,000 if we would have went out and bought the real thing. So I guess we got our money's worth out of it... for like 7 minutes....

I seem to recall that they had a "space ship" version of the sub too.

So what were those supposedly large vehicles, cardboard boxes? Was there anything that actually worked? I sure wanted the submarine. I think the rocket is a surplus ME163.

Well, I'd pay $5 just for the chance to actually see what they really looked like!
Ooh... I just remembered another one... there was this ad for a "flying" Boeing 707. Very vividly described, but it was paper, came in a tube, and you tied a string on the wing and twirled it around your head. I actually had one of these. It was great fun... till the wing ripped out of the fuselage. [:D]

I also got the battle of 1812 soldiers, blue and red. They were "rounded" but man, they were small.
