I think you're reading the map incorrectly - looks to me like the Ottomans are getting surrounded and wiped out in the Sinai
OOoops....it appears that I stand corrected. I looked up the units in question and they are OT. I guess that means ottoman turks or something, and not italians at all. Sorry for the mixup.

HAHA. My fault, as well, I was reading the first frame of the gif as the last frame, which seemed to indicate that the British had been surrounded and destroyed by the Ottomans!! [:D] Oy, anyways, continue with the stellar AAR. [&o]

Here's the minimap view of the moves from turns 24 thru 29. The Germans have made a massive breakthrough in the middle of the Russian lines and it looks like the beginning of the end for the Soviet union:

Here are turns 3-30 from Central Powers perspective. I dunno where I lost turns 1 and 2.

I think Karri is using the "movies" option to capture the minimap views, converting them to GIF format, and string them together using GIFanimator.exe to make a movie. At least that's what I am doing when I make things like this.
You can find GIFanimator.exe here:

Here's the instructions on how to use GIFanimator:

Karri,
Did you use the Austro-Hungarian forces freed up from Serbia to make your breakthrough in Russia? Or is answering that giving too much away?

Here it is turn 33 and these are the allied losses so far:

I have no idea what the German losses are, perhaps Karri will post those someday when he has time.

Here it is early in 1915 and the Germans have made a major breakthrough in the Russian lines. It's in a place where there aren't any rail lines so the area cannot be reinforced immediately.....it's just the thing the Germans needed to put the kabosh on the Russians:

Well, looks like you stabilized that potential break-through on the Eastern Front. Kudos.

I think maybe it's just a postponement of the inevitable really.
Here's a movie showing the turn 35 dispositions and my pathetic attempt to plug the hole:
And here's the minimap view of the moves from turn 30 to 35:

I see, not much substance to your new defence line. At least you have reserves ready to throw in, by the looks of those entrained units.

Here's the south half of the Russian lines ( please note that I have almost
successfully, though temporairily, plugged the German breakthroughs in the lines ) :

Here's the initial front lines and my pathetic attempt to plug the gaps in turn 37. Don't ask me how I did it, I just moved some stuff around and it happened:

How much longer before the Italians join the fray? That should pull some troops off the eastern front. The Russians also look to be making good progress in the eastern part of the Ottoman Empire...

Um....I googled for Italy WWI and got some information about the real deal....it seems that the Italians joined WWI in May of 1915 so I'm assuming that's when they join the fray.

I think maybe the "good" progress may be an illusion if they get stuck in some Mexican Standoffs. We'll see.
