I've been following this forums now for years popping in just once in a while, mainly interested in the process of EiA.
I never felt the need to register but now I guess the time has come...
I am very excited and looking forward to see some more good news.

Hey guys:
Ok, you asked for it and here is a screen shot with a small tour guide:
Game description:
This is a solo game I have played in which I am France. I have secured Berlin after some serious field combats in hopes of getting an unconditional surrender from Prussia.
The top buttons are buttons active at all times (Main menu, end phase, view political statuses, etc).
The buttons in the lower left part of the screen are the phase buttons (DOW, attempt alliances, etc).
The text window above the phase buttons is a text log which can be enlarged to see more messages at once.
Just to the right of the text window is the current selected unit (Napoleon) and its stats.
To the of the current unit window is the current area window which has a lot of info about the current area, city control, nation, current nation that controls this area and the province in which it belongs. This window also has the current units in this area broken down by stack i.e. Units in the city, besieging unit and rural units.
Just to the right of the area information window is the strategic map with color coding of control.
You can see the optional panels in the main menu that allow me to view more detailed info about my nation. This panel will show current conquered nations, freestates, wars, peace restrictions, access, money and VPs.
The very top right section is a quick view of the current nation with its phase and manpower/money info.
Anyway, just wanted to give a quick view of the main play screen. Some of you have seen this before BUT maybe not the latest...
Hope this helps...
Thank you

Thank you
no, thank you for this, it looks like it will be fun to play. But ... I will never understand why you made some changes to the map that are so terrible wrong... just compare the cities of Kiel and Lubeck, both quite the same quality on your map... historical, Lubeck was a extremly strong town at this time while Kiel was less than a village, its "habour" only used by local fishermen... but according to your map the same size as Bremen, another strong Hanse town... was it really too hard for you to check this out ?
But as I said: it looks like it will be fun to play [:)]

Wow....
The map is beautiful. I guess I should start my favorite football play.. the left handed drop back draw play. You know pull out the wallet etc.
Hope to see this one soon.

Great stuff Marshall!
And very nice of you to keep us informed! And by showing us things like this keeping us HUNGRY!
But from my point of view:
I'd rather forgo any screenshots or updates, if you can get your work finished a day earlier!
But you'll know best!
Still: THANK YOU!

Thanks, Marshall! [&o] I know I was asking for new screen shots for quite awhile.
I don't know why you've kept this beautiful map and interface hidden! [&:] It's gorgeous. Don't be afraid to show off your hard work.
There's alot of artistic and graphical choices that you had to make all rolled up in that one screen shot. Maybe you were a bit nervous about what the feed back would be? I know its too late for you to change anything but not to worry: I think your graphics are both pleasing AND elegant. I especially appreciate the way your graphics try to capture the ambience of the period (the map looks like painted cloth). Good Job! [8D]
I only have one small, teeny, tiny, quibble, and fortunately it IS something you can change any time you like:
The foraging values look like they've been shaved down in this area of the map from the orginal. A "2" for Posen? Warsaw and its environs are hardly the same as the Russian Steppes!
I would be interested to hear the rationale for this design choice. Is it to make it harder on the French for an extended campaign in the Meta-game?

Hi Joisey,
The Posen forage value is one of
many graphical errors that are currently being addressed (that’s what we’re told) but it was coded correctly. In the insert below, you can see the two supply options available to the Prussian IV corps; forage and depot supply.
1) The forage value is 3 (not 2) and the modifiers to the die roll are -2 (+2 for winter, -1 for own territory and -3 for unused movement points)
2) The cost to use depot supply from Berlin is $4 (2 areas away during winter)
Richard
Edit: Oh and btw, the white highlighted areas show the movement range that the corps has and the winter land movement option (double cost) was not in use for this example.

Thanks for the reply! Ya know, if you posted the entire map, you could get tons of free help from your online fans here to find those pesky errata (hint hint) [;)]

I understand you will be seeing it, I just don’t know exactly when and for how much. [:)]
Seriously, we are patiently waiting to see the map errors, which were already identified, finally fixed.

Is there any way to toggle the size of the garrisoned city markers smaller? The giant rooks seem excessive and clutter the board. The little flags would be enough to show a garrison. I know it would not be as pretty as some might like but I'd rather have a number in a square there (color indicating nationality).

Frank:
Not at this point. We can look at this a little later depending on how many requests/ideas we get. I don't think would happen until after IP play is done. This is my best guess as of today. All of this is subject to change

Thank you

Thanks Marshall. I'll be buying this either way and the map looks nice, I just would like to less of it covered.

Frank:
I did add a zoom window option at the bottom so that you can see an up close version of the area without unit stacks all over it. This was done so that you can see the area uncluttered...
