okay, having to play the game instead of how I want or think

so, Robert E is my 4 Star, I make Early and J.E. Johnson my two 3 stars

Stonewall is the better General, but he is in command of a Div, and I need 3 stars for my Corps

it is not a CSA Div, it is a English Div, maybe no art work is set for it yet, but that is part of the English force, and if it joins the war, it will show up as CSA, so that maybe why it is showing that now ?

over all, I think that shot is more showing the biggest unit in the area, the Divs are still there

in Wheeling, I have a Corps and a Div, but only the Corps is showing

I have Fow turned off, need more info while testing then I like when I am playing a game, so I got a decent idea of what is what

but you can set that how you want

okay a winter turn and nothing much happened

one of my runners took 3 points of damage (and runs and hides in a shipyard to be repaired, they are too importent to let them get damaged)

I build a Barracks in Tenn-Miss-River (I want to build a Corps shortly)
I build a Hosp in Cumberland river, a Horse farm in Galveston and a Mint in NO

The graphics look great, but a question - How are you finding the user interface? Is it realtively easy to do what you need and want to do?

And what does hospital coverage means? Let say, what does coverage 8 means?
Thanks

Make Stonewall a 2 Star

Kentucky joins the Union, so be it

finally get some good stuff , 20 weapons from Europe

over the winter, have just been building up the resources, had a few requests by the Govenors to build stuff (greedy bums)

(hosp and 2 Barracks so far)

was trying to find it in the rules, to explain it better, but not finding what I want

but basicly, dispostion is the morale of the troops, the lower it gets the worse the effects, and higher is better, Hosps help to raise Dispostion of the troops, would say the numbers are how well it works

it also is based on Rail and River lines, you going to be fighting a lot of battles in a area, you want at least one Hosp in the area

the % is the chance of doing something, so if you want to change from a line to a column you have a % chance of doing so (this one is a little odd, if not in sight of the enemy, it always works)

my Dip level with Europe is getting good !

Just a reminder: as noted on the other AAR thread, those weird brown things flying the Union Jack are FILLER GRAPHICS being used from "Crown of Glory" until we can get our forts snapped into place (any day now). In case anyone wishes to disseminate screenshots from the game elsewhere on the web on some other forum, please DO NOT use images with unfinished graphics. Other than these "forts," everything you're seeing is completed.

Since this came up... the manual states that "the H overlay on the main map shows the rail distance of each province from the nearest Hospital building." So while '8' might seem like a lot of hospital coverage, it actually shows that the nearest hospital is quite far away.

Hospitals restore the disposition of brigades, at a clip of two per turn, and can do so for brigades that are in a different province so long as there is a rail link. Hospitals also halve the effects of disease, but only for units in the same province. (Which is why I've learned my lesson never to park the ANV in Fredericksburg in winter, since there's lots of disease and no hospital can be built there, and the army's strength will drop by 30-40% by the end of the winter. So I'm now smart enough to build up my forts so that the province can't be taken, and withdraw to a nearby city province where I've built a hospital.)

Sorry, game has gotten a little peaceful, the Union is not coming after me, and I not going after him, so we are pretty much getting ready for the next round of battles

I have been picking up some of the worthless land that is undfended

my replacement rate is real low, so not getting my units built up fast

and not really got the power to go on a seige hunt

here is a shot of the current upgrades

Hard Sarge, you're right about the hospitals. Actually, I also thought that those numbers reflect the amount of hospital-related coverage one gets. But when I went to the manual to get the precise info, I found that it claimed the "H" overlay reflects distance to hospitals. The manual (still in draft form) was incorrect, and you (and my initial instincts) are correct that the more hospitals you have, the better the coverage, and the higher the numbers.
