The good folks who stay with stock model have no idea what they are missing.
Here is just one example.[:D]

I truly want to play CHS sometime , just scares me by being unfamiliar really. I know stock by rote now, really must take the plunge .. NikMod does do wonders for stock though.

The truth is I would be winning our PBEM battle....with a few simple house rules I should have asked for at the start........

For Speedy....
1. no subs
2. no Lightnings
3. no Corsairs
4. no using of allied bombers against Japanese targets............

For me.....
1. Better staff..........my lot are useless..........

So depressingly difficult to get good help these days...

Try the NikMod for CHS then. It's even better

(Well, to be honest it's only just as good as stock NikMod as it relates to Nick's changes, but it certainly does benefit from the CHS map and general CHS goodies (such as P38F))

Question about this.
Most of the sources that I have read was that the P-51B/C were exclusive to the ETO and were not used in the PTO. So does anyone have anything saying that either RAF or USAAF unit x upgrade to P-51B's during the course of the war?

I'll have to do some looking, but IIRC, lurking somewhere in my library, some of which is still in storage (great lack of space in current parsonage) are some books with pictures of P-51s with the razor back and only 4 guns in the wings - which are captioned as being located in China. They were also identified as P-51B/C model. Just have to find them.. Of course, only a very few books also write of the reverse lend lease of Mosquitos to the USMC in the Pacific. I'll have to find that also.

Me :- Um Er Well ,, it's the Vengance DB sir .. US DB's can;t use them and for the life of me no commonwealth Db's can be found by my little brain on the map in 11/42 .. [8|]


RE- PomPak .. its the CHS map i find intimidating ,, esp china. Will give it or RHS a go sometime though. Just can't manage to play the AI anymore after several PBEMS as practise ..

Anyone ? .. It's quite possible i am being dumb here as i didn't look at the incoming a/c sqds b4 posting this .. [&:]

I have Vengenace's in use a fair bit. Atr leats I did until they were replaced by Mossie FB's....

IIRCX there are some Hurrice Squadrons and some Aussie Wirraways units that upgrade to them. I kniow there are 3-4 British Squadrons that can do.
