Does anyone remember Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe? What I really enjoyed about that game was setting research for various weapons...

It would be so cool if in WiTP I could move ships up and down the production list or just build additional ships from a class - even from scratch.

That would take away some of the historical feeling from the game tho...

Okay, perhaps asking for air simulation add-on for WITP is a bit too much.

But can at least these two features added just to give us limited tactical capabilities.

1. 2D sea battle style as shown by QQP's Battle of South Pacific or perhaps even limited 3D sea battle as shown by Great Naval Battle series.

2. Set bombing priorities for air strike against ships and some animation sprites of the airstrike just for visual representation, this is also from QQP's Battle of South Pacific

of course, most of us, doesn't need eye candy visualization...

But come on... those couple features are already included in DOS games released in early 90's and they hardly reach 5 Mb size on hard drive.

With today's hardware and programming tools that would be easy to do, yet it would increase the value of WITP immensely

If (and this is a big IF) there ever is a WITP2 the last thing needed are tactical option(s).

Better to use the resources to improve things like the air-air and ground combat models, etc.

Otherwise...I can already see the threads on WHY can't the AI handle the "new" stuff.
