Looking back through Frans, I can only see the generic reference used to koko's. Tony confirmed that such were welcome at Harpgamer etc and included you in the category. He further indicated why, with your views on the US and events in World War Two. I assume this relates to the racist posts that you use with a certain frequency.
Were you asking for Tony to be banned as a result? [8D]

Come on out and vote, the 15th marks the half-way point calendar-wise of the 2006 voting for Pooner. Please come recognize those who you think have most contributed to Harpoon this year. Start the voting process at:
http://www.harpoonpages.com/poonervote/pooner-Intro.php
If you have any difficulty, contact me at
pooner@harpoonpages.com. There are three votes in progress (verification e-mail went out but vote wasn't concluded). I will e-mail the three of you tomorrow in hopes that we can get those votes entered.
Speaking of voting, it is a great thing to talk up your choices as some have done here. I went thru the HULL archives for the last 4+ years looking at the Pooner vote and read some amazing endorsements along with Pooner votes. It frankly makes me miss Bruce Fenster around Harpoon all that much more.
And speaking of thanks, the dually signed copy of Red Storm Rising has returned from Larry Bond's abode and now features both the Clancy and Bond signatures. This baby will go out to the 2006 Pooner winner!!! My thanks to Mr. Bond for adding his signature and endorsement to this 10th year of the Pooner awards.

For 2006 I voted for Jan-Paul Koster also. His bug-finding efforts - and his willingness to listen to all sides of the community must have been the cause of a lot of bug fixes between 3.7.0 and 3.7.x.
For lifetimer award I nominate Herman who through his own style has contributed many good scens, bug reports, brought in new players and has for years been willing to test any scen thrown at him; oh yes and of course the LIFETIME BEST POETIC AAR: "charge of the light brigade" - maybe someone can post a link here - I could not find it anymore.

I wont make any comments etc just let people know I have full confidence in Tony's system after having just used it.
I've voted for Dale Hillier for the '06 Pooner award and Darrel Dearing for a lifetime award. Dale's been involved in computer Harpoon for longer than I can remember and has always been part of our community in a contributory way without a hidden agenda. I almost feel like asking people to vote for him after so many years of service to the game and little mainstream recognition.
I had not know Darrel Dearing until I became part of Team Harpoon and I personally believe he deserves a lifetime award for his work on the present incarnation of Harpoon3ANW. Darrel's been willing to listen and has really made an effort to get the game to where we as users want it, cheers Darrel.
That wasn't hard and I didn't even have to "dis" anyone...
Cheers
Darren

I'm disappointed to say the least that so far there are hardly any votes that have been registered. I won this award many years back, but I know when I did there were close to 700 votes cast. So far we have a great deal less than even a pultry 100 votes.
So I'm going to run a Vote for Dale Hillier campaign.
Anybody who hasn't voted so far please take the opportunity in the next few hours to visit Tony's site and cast your vote. If you can't decide who to vote for no worries, just follow these easy instructions:
2006 Pooner Award - Dale Hillier
Lifetime Pooner Award - Darrel Dearing
Hey so you don't agree? Good, at least vote me down and make the "Pooner", the award it used to be.
I also want to make clear that I can vouch for the voting system and believe that if we wish to continue as a community then recogition of individuals' efforts should be a permanent part of what we do.
Thanks
Darren Buckley

Same here! Been playing for hours again in 3.7.3 to qualify another of my old scens and I'm glad there are people who will stick with it to make it better.! Freek
