" I'm not like some newcomers."
hahahha.. Well Ill just say that we all have a contribution to make reguardless of how long weve been here. Moriartie shows great aptitude at picking out bugs or problems and answers questions occasionally. I generally attempt to help people when I can. Yours is creating excellent mods and insulting people with whom you disagree. Each is worthwile in its own right and attempting to disuade people from coming here would not be good for the allready ghost-town like StarShatter board...
As I would tell my 2 year old son; Shamey shamey boyd! [:-]

I'm new to SS (it's a great game by the way) but I do think you (wdboyd) were a little harsh. But that part of the thread appears to be finished ^.^
I do have one bug to contribute, which was a little annoying when I wanted to create this particular custom mission. Dunno if it's just me or not, but whenever I attempt to change the IFF of a station mid-game (with an event), the game crashes. I tried a couple different types of stations and they still crashed the game.
I wanted to create a mission where you captured a station then had to defend it. You had to escort the LCAs in to the station so they could dock. Due to the bug, I decided to just go with a carrier capture mission instead... But then I got rid of the LCAs anyway due to the whole fighters crashing into the ship as they dock... Another bug, but people seem to be aware of this one (though I did notice it only seems to happen when your view is some distance away from the attempt... They never seem to crash if you watch them).
Also, not so much a bug but something I would have liked... The ability to tell where to respawn something. Just respawning to a random point in the center of the map is usually not a good thing ^.^

"What a strange comment"
Not strange at all. There are characters like Moriartie that get there kicks and satisfaction from constantly complaining. He even admits his fault finding in other games. He's probably less concerned about getting problems fixed than just in venting.
I have experianced problems with the simulation, but many can be explained away in the games SDK documentation, game manual and other modding information. Perfect? No, but a great game nonetheless. [;)]
Keep em flying. [:D]
I diasagree and feel your comments were harsh. If folk can get away with lax testing to speed up shipping they will. I have no doubt Moriartie is raising these with the hope they get fixed rather than ranting
Your comments against have absolutely no justifcation and simply make you appear as an internet warrior.
So yes, I still find your comments strange[&:]

Please believe me... a twenty-one year retired Marine, you don't know what harsh is. [:-]

I suspect you maybe very surprised at my training level, combat experience and operational theartres should I reveal them, however that was in a none too distance past.
In terms of harshness - I simply mean the courtesy with which we extend to all contributors here, we are all the same rank

Salutations,
YES, I am a fan of Starshatter. Have been such for a L O N G time. [:'(] [:)] [:D]
No apology here. [:'(]
I'm not like some newcomers. [:-]
I know where the simulation has come from. A lot of people helped in the creation and in the process of its growth and creation. They had input into all facets of the game. So, I have no problem with that. I just know when someone is really sincere in helping with the simulation and when they are complaining just to see their copius list of real or perceived game problems/quirks shared for the sake of complaining.
I myself have been frustrated with parts of the simulation in the past. It isn't perfect but it sure is fun to play and mod with. [:'(]
I won't comment on this particular topic further. No sense in beating a dead horse. [:D]
Ok, I'll play your game - let's assume for a second that my motives are the worst possible:
i.e. All I want to do with this thread is make fools out of Milo and Matrix and make them look like incompetant cretins, whilst also blowing up my own ego and having a rant at the same time.
So what?
What do my motives have to with anything? They (Milo actually) now have a fairly comprehensive list of 34 bugs/issues (plus howevermany other people have contributed), most of which go into significant detail (as much as I can give for mine). If Milo wants to do anything about these issues he should be able to track many of them down.
I've provided a resource - what does it matter what my motives are?

Moriarte - I think EVERYONE apart from one person can see this. My advice is to ignore his comments.
Do carry on with reporting the bugs:
1) It helps other users
2) Matrix / Milo might just acknowledge them and even fix them
Cheers
