Lol - it wasn't too hard to find out, Mario. It's been your writing style. I know that you are a big fan of FitE, so..
Hopefully the designers will make use of the 499 additional events we have..hm, maybe this would make TOAW3 more interesting for you?
[/quote]
Yes, if that happens I will buy TOAW 3

I thought I'd get organized somewhat while I still might be able to. Some of the Soviet formations are on internal support and don't 'play' well with other formations. So I thought I'd try to get the elements of the formations together with each other so that they could support each other better. To do that I decided to put together some pictures to tell me where they are so I'd know where to move them and give them a series of orders to follow to plan better. That way I might just be able to build a better defensive line and hold the German back longer than I did the first time. This is the picture of the Soviet 28th Army formation.

he he - yeah the Russians are scattered all over hte place - you get reinfocements arriving in the Caucasus for formations that are stationed in the Arctic sort of thing - half the fun is getting them together!

Monkey no problem. People are passionate about lots of things and I appreciate your input to make this a better scenario.
I probably didn't state the Russian Shock correctly but I didn't change anything in the out years for them. Their shock goes up in 43, 44 and 45. Maybe having their shock 90 for 41 then 100 for 42.
I can't say enough on how I like the way this scenario plays out. Since I usually play the axis (and lose) I want to see if we can get the scenario to last till the great soviet offensives. I hope it can be fun for both players and nail biting.
Again thanks for your input. It is nice to know why the designers did things the way they did them.

Report from Col Zap's HQ. We conducted a series of attacks to support the local inf divs to destroy a Soviet inf div. After 2 days of hard fighting what was left of the div surrendered. We were then tasked to support our PzD's attacks at Lutsk. Unfortunately we arrived to late and exhausted to participate. But the maintenance guys have been great and have gotten most of our vehicles back on line and ready to fight.

Here's a list of the recent reinforcements that the Soviets got in turn 2....there's 38 of them. 643 units left over from turn 1 plus this 38 gives 681. There's 628 units alive in turn 2 therefore the Axis dude destroyed 53 units in turn 2.

Here are the Axis losses to date. My sorta plan this time was first to destroy as much of his air force as possible and to surround and cut off/kill as many units as I can. I know that the Soviet rifle squads are numerous but the rest of his equipment might not be. Of course trying to execute my attacks in finland my destroyers decided to run aground to become stationary gun platforms, which they did and the soviets killed them just before they died. I really want to push the sovs back to Moscow and keep them from attacking my forces in Finland. With the possibility of the Finns pushing forward might make him leave more guys up there, especially if he sees German inf divs up there.

What I think is going to be very interesting with some of the mods I did for the Russians (hopefully didn't break it) is to see how hard a time Larry is going to have moving people around for a few more turns then in the stock game and what decisions he makes with limited movement (rail).
I was going to ask Larry what or if he did anything to consolidate the russian armies or just did it when they died and come back. I see he is going to attempt to get them together.
One of my other goals in the game is to do better with my traffic control. Also the movement of divisions to the proper areas without having to travel the length of the board to get there. One other is to rest divs more so I have more combat power. I was hoping to lesson my losses but it seems that I haven't been successful, 1500 first turn and 1100 the second. I am apparently trying to power my way thru but I want to get as far east as possible as soon as I can (standard German tactic)
