only had time to get to two of the crashes, picked the far scout and was able to land and take off to get the scout right near me, the fighter was lost

it works in a game, but in RL, not sure they would be happy with me, seen a Cruiser come in, and let it fly around, and just followed it, Bingo it landed and took over a Nation, I took the Cruiser and found the base, and am now going in to take the base

hmmm, maybe if they would of paid me better, I would took out the Cruiser before it landed, but this way, I got a chance to get a bonus for doing my job so well

that is a Twin barrel Tank
 
the green is a Chem nade
 
the yellow/red is a Inighter rocket
 
those guys in White got Beehive Armor on
 
the guy to the right, also has a Chem Weapon
 
this is really a bit of a weapon test mission, I got 3 weapons I have never used in combat before
 
the Stun nade, the Chem Weapon and the Inighter rockets
 
but they sure are Pretty

Hehehe

got a wall of flames in front of me, of course, that Halatouche that came though the door didn't like it, but the Laver thing, was smart enough to stay back

so

put a couple of rounds into the wall and then tossed a Nade in, so much for the Laver

of course about then, another Halatouche came up and looked out the hole in the wall, so Harley, always in testing mode, put another flamer to the test

good work techies, these work

Harley put out the flames, and then Greg hit the Halatouche that walked up, but didn't kill it
 
I wonder who gets the kill when the flames finally took him out ?

Hehehe, these Aliens may be smart, but they really need to stop looking into every hole in the wall they come across
 
 
(hmmm, reminds me a old short story I read along time ago,a Old Sgt is walking along the Trench wall with the new rookie, explaining the facts of life on the front lines, when, blam, a hole appears in the wall over there head, the Old Sgt starts laffing and tells the rookies, ahh, here is a neat trick, a bullet will never hit the same spot twice, so when you see a new hole in the wall, you can look out it and see what is going on, the Old Sgt, stands on his tippy toes, and puts his eye to the hole, and Blam, the back of his head explodes and covers the rookie with bits of gore
 
cut to the other side, and there is a Old Sgt talking to a new Rookie, yeap, most fools think a bullet will never hit the same place twice in a row, so when you fire, watch to see if the hole gets dark, some fool maybe trying to look though it)

cheatskates, but at least I ended the month in the black

got both my transporters in action now, let the old beast take on the small jobs, and save the big boy for the tuff stuff

(or, when I start healing my troops again)

This is really good stuff. Out of curiousity, what skill setting are you playing on Sarge?
 
Nice transport, BTW. Looks like some really neat stuff to look forward to down the pike...

I'm curious, how'd that chem gun work out for you? I've got some soldiers strong enough to use that and the flamethrower now and given how much I used incendiary autocannon rounds in X-Com it's quite tempting, but I've been getting good mileage out of my laser rifles while being unimpressed with a lot of the non-rifle weapons I've tried so far.

Chem Weapon and Flamethrower are a blast
 
only thing is, they got very short range
 
both look to fire a 9 hex pattern on the ground, so if you just short of the target, you can always fire at the ground and let it spead to the target
 
plus it lasts for a while, so it is great near doors, or inside of tight hallways and ships
 
but they are heavy, and slow and as I say, got a very short range (I am think 6 hexes for each)
 
but, I not seen anything stand up to either of them, and have seen a few that fell after trying to cross it later
 
All, in all, use it as intended, a support weapon, and it is great, don't depend on it as your main weapon

ran into a new Alien, some Mech looking thing

of course, I been hunting for that Vipon Commander, so I am heavy on stun weapons, but get a Terror mission

these things are nasty
