Have you decided where you want to construct your defensive lines at?

Frankly... stupid idea but on the route to OZ and I will try to hold him at Java shipping supplies from the north if possible to do this I have to hold India at least at the line of Diamond Harbour and mass some planes on the Island... holding the east coast of Australia with the route to PM secured... however to do this that damn route from WC to OZ must be in my hands and for now I have to gain time and try to build up defenses over there... is going to be hard but maybe we shall make it... time will tell...

Nice moves Yava...the raid on Kuching and the intercept with the Louisville...as you say, not a lot of damage, but psycologically it should make Dixie think about escorting his ships better and if he does he will have less to attack with.

Frankly I hope will think about excorting his transports, as you say it will make his offensive capabilities a bit limited.
And the Tarawa thing was planned, since the Jap players in most cases thinks there won't be any trouble with getting The Gilbert Islands and sends a SNFL or some NavGD to deal with it on Fast Transports... if these are destroyed or damaged... Dixie should be a bit of the schedule with his expansion...[:)]

Hopefully slow him down till he is done dealing with the sra before major offensive actions happen in the south pac.

That's what I am trying to do.. what worries me is the COMPLETE lack of ANY Jap CV's... after the PH attack one of his CVL's bombed Rabaul and that's it...[&:] I think that he's hiding them somewhere E of PI waiting for the KB return to organize a small tour of two CV groups... from the N of Borneo a small TF... just like a shepherd's dog... and from the S of Borneo the trap with the complete destruction of the ABDA forces and few fast one after another invasions...
That is why I have to prepare Java for the upcoming (possible) battle... Beauforts are needed along with subs patroling the region and supply, supply, supply, not to mention the brave Australian forces from the W of OZ...

Wow you are realy going to throw at lot at keeping java. Any british or indian units?

I need to try and keep it since I'm going to need so to say a 'link' with India, it won't be easy but with a bit of luck it's possible... Dutch, Australian and British planes play the key role here... but the American B-17s have been saved from PI along with the valuable fighters. The Indians along with most of British forces will be used to stop Dixie on the Diamond Harbour line... but most of the support will be sent to the Java region of operations.... Good God it's only a small plan for now.. I just hope I will indeed have time to put it into life... I don't worry about the time when it comes to Burma and India but the damn Island can fall to soon... and then I will have a problem [:)]

There is only one base between Madras and Diamond Harbor/Calcutta that has a port. I would suggest that a few units be sent there to start building forts. [;)] I did not send the one and only MLE from Colombo to SRA and thus I have some of the escaped ML's from SRA busy along the coast of India. [:D]
 
Starting in 1/42 you get Beaufort I, but not the Beaufort V-IX until 5/42. [:(]
The only planes that can use them are the Canadian Blenheim IV. Spend the 100 PP to get the 2 squadrons over to SW Command and on a few transports to Australia. By the time they get over there, you should have enough built up to upgrade both squadrons. [:D]  Plus, you add those 32 Blenheim IV's back into the pool.
 
I hope you have sent those B-17's assigned to SE Asia over the long island hoping to India. Once there, I converted a few to LB-30's.
 
Cannot say more, the "enemy" has spies everywhere.

Gents, finally we have managed to locate KB or at least a part of it.


We think that Japs are lurking there in order to stop any attempts from our side to bombard or attack Wake from the air, however they managed to reveal their presence by attacking one of our small transport ships fleeing to Pearl. Too bad for the Jap[:'(]

In the Tarawa region CAs Pensacola and Louisville are to reach Canton Island and stop any attempts of the enemy to land at Baker. Meanwhile CL Leander accompanied by CL Achilles are to take a position in the Nanumea and if needed defend Elice Islands from invasion. This small raider TFs are very useful in the region where the enemy feels safe and sound.

The PI - Borneo region is starting to be a place of many small naval encounters. Our TF lead by CL Marblehead had a clash with a big Jap convoy heading for Tarakan, we are almost sure of that now.
We managed to inflict heavy damage to one of the ships and shell few others. CA Houston with CL Boise are to intercept from the North. However our action focused the Jap efforts on the place and a TF of four CAs and another one of two BBs have beem sighted W of Manado steaming at full speed in the direction of Tarakan.

On Java we are making slow progress with the build up of Batavia and Soerabaja AFs. Transports with fuel and supplies are heading in the direction of the Island. The problem we face is the enemy with his bombers at Kuching.

Keeping an eye on this one Yava, and as an allied fanboy im rooting for the good guys. Good to see the Boise kicking some ass. My Boise ate a few torps and is currently home to a wide variety of marine life

Yava, I am not sure, but I think you are playing Scen 158 (CHS)...then two questions...
what about your MLE ?.. I think could work so fine at DEI with several allied MLE-DM in that area.
Another question... Where are you planning to send the 18th UK Division ?? (in one of my PBEM i get to sent it to Singapore !, in ohter one I used like Strategic reserve at Ceylan)... In your plan could be interesting to send at Java with the beautifull and fast big APs...It´s my humble oppinion.

Well the MLEs are slowly moving towards Java(coincidence Yava - Java[:D]) and I'm still thinking what to o with the 18th Div... either region of Dacca or java... [;)]
