I cleaned out my foot locker today, and at the bottom was my still unused back up copy of EiA I had bought in case I needed new counters, sheets, etc. The box was in poor condition, but it was all there. Made me wish I had the time to set up weekly game.
I am very eager to take on all 6 nations without any idea who I can expect as an ally (with friends, ya have an idea what they will do, or can talk about it even before and between sessions). Hope its a challenge.

The game will take control of your graphics card and set it to 1024 X 768
Aspect ratio notwithstanding, this isn't good for LCDs that don't use 1024x768 as their native resolution (which is most). Will the game at least have an option of running in a window mode?
Resolution aside, the game looks good.

I've checked this forum often since the announcement of this game, lo those many years ago. I remember getting the issue of
The General that featured the boardgame. I have always wanted to play it and cannot wait for the PC version. If they would have pre-sold it, I would have paid. This is my first ever Matrix post and I am thrilled that the hour of EIA appearing in electronic form is finally upon us.
I don't know what that particular smiley is for, but it demonstrates my level of anticipation.

Okay . . .
1. Spain gets impatient and declares war on Naples during the June Diplomacy Phase (France gains control). Their plan is to send the Guard corps with Castanos from Valencia to Naples during the June Naval Phase.

2. The Guard corps and Castanos load onto the I Heavy fleet during the June Naval Phase. Note: by double clicking the loaded fleet (red dot indicates that the fleet is loaded), Spain can see which forces are aboard. Also note: the white-border areas indicate where the fleet can move to during the current naval phase (ports and sea areas).

3. The Spanish Fleet moves to the coast of Naples

4. After disembarking the Spanish Guard corps and Castanos into the Naples area, Spain creates a depot on the heavy fleet in order to establish invasion supply. Spain’s impatience to invade will prove costly during the June Economic Phase, as fleet maintenance for a fleet in a sea area will cost $5.
FYI: In EiANW, depots are not allowed on fleets that are in the blockade box.
Also Note: In EiANW, depots can be placed and/or removed at any time during a Land Phase, before or after movement, but obviously before supply is actually checked. However, the program knows which areas are valid areas for placement BEFORE movement is made (i.e. at the start of the phasing major power’s turn), so if you move to a location two areas away, that is not a supply source or does not already contain a friendly corps, and you try to place a depot in that area, the program will not allow it. In the example shown in the screen shot, Spain is able to disembark and then place the depot (the same as if it had placed the depot first and then disembarked).
