Wow -- can't complain about lack of action in this AAR! If my reading is correct, the IJN lost rather more of the difficult-to-replace carrier aircraft and pilots, while the Allies lost more ground-based planes. Still, the Japanese may be about even on ship losses because of that massacre of merchant ships by the Rabaul-based Betties. And it's a shame that North Carolina caught two torpedoes. Well, maybe Washington can duel with Yamato instead.
