The German blitz machine grinds to a halt and I begin to ponder and make ready counter attacks....

Soviet counter attacks drive the Panzers back from Smolensk. Rough fighting for the Germans. Such attacks must be detrimental to Willies moral....[:D]

Smolensk wasn´t the only spot I pushed the invader back. I drove into Army group norths flank as I was going to mentioned last map. The flank seems weekly held by security forces and such.

Below Smolensk I went all out on a isolated German division, I was bloodily repulsed but it was worth the chance...

..hold that static line, if the Germans get into that rail-net south of L'grad you will have such a headache...

Turn 9
The North

Soviets continue to press into the German flank. The German right is in danger of collapse unless Willy has something hiding back there I´m not seeing. I´m across the marshes and will keep driving.

If I can make him react to what I´m doing and not me reacting to what he is doing then I will have siezed the initiative. This seems like there is a possibility of this happening soon in the north.

Turn 9
The Center

Not much here besides Willie launching an attack and comes next to Smolensk. I counter attack and push him back out keeping Smolensk Soviet and safe for the time being. Other than this all quiet in the center.

The South

So far I haven´t covered the south as it takes a while to develope. As of now Willies tanks have managed to break a good hole in my line and threaten Kiev. With luck the Soviet trains still run on time. [:'(]
