Yes it still happens with 1.70f, but not as bad. I have starters who the AI will not use as starters. Their endurence is too low. Even though in real life they were still good starting pitchers. How ever guys who played into their 40's in real life are getting much more playing time, postion players and pitchers. With real players, expections color your vision. Still it is much improved from before.

I still like this fix.

This is the kind of "replay" I like to see. I love the what if scenarios that you can explore in PureSim that the new player aging/fatigue model allows. I would hate to see guys retire in the game just because they did in real life. If you want to do a historical replay there are games that suit that desire very well. PureSim's attraction to me is that it isn't designed as a replay simulator but as a blend of statistical reproduction and ratings based game play.

Extremely minor nit: ever since I installed 1.70f, bunt sacrifices detail their results out of order. I play an NL replay association so my pitchers sac bunt a lot.

Here's a description of what I see happening now:

If the sac bunt is (or will be?) unsuccessful, it is the first line of text.

FWIW - I've experienced the same thing. Had me wondering at first. It appears as if the PBP announce has a crystal ball and is letting the listeners know that he's looked into it and seen that the but will not be successful. [:)]
