How do you paste an image?
Save as a .jpg file and post it here.

Ok sorry to be so dull...but when I choose the Add Image button on this interface it brings up a ainwdow asking for a URL --no option to browse. How do you insert a JPEG file here?
Moreover, the image is REALLY easy to visualize: black screen, a rectangle (white) in the middle of the screen --thats it.

No apologies needed here!
When you start the game, is the Matrix intro video playing?

Marshall:
The EIA Game Menu loads fine. As soon as I select the PLAY option, I am presented with the black screen, a rectangle (white) in the middle of the screen. REMEMBER, after I replaced the original exe with your test version the game operated flawlessly. Of course this is a test only version --and i was (and still am!) unable to play an online game. So as far as my simple logic takes me whatever you did to the code for the test exec file --is what it is going to take to get my machine to operate this application.

Can you manually set your monitor to 1024x768?
The Matrix video is not being played in the test EXE so this is why I ask.
Some had to load the proper CODECS for the Matrix video to play.
So did the Matrix video play?

No a video did not play. As mentioned above yes, I did reset to 1024x768 manually and set for 96 dpi --no joy.

The only difference in the test EXE and the actual EXE is that the video does not play AND I am making no DirectX calls. I'm still a little lost about your screen appearance since I cannot imagine how this happens in the 1024x768 96DPI setting??? A couple of screen prints could sure help me here!
BTW: You are no longer using the test EXE, correct?

I think I understand now. The video is not playing since I don't think you have the right CODECS. I'll get with Matrix in this...

This is an interesting thread as this is what happens on my machine. I assumed that it was a Vista thing (can I tell you I loath Vista). No problems otherwise the game runs pretty well.
