Hard Sarge,
Good to hear. One other point to bear in mind when you go down that path is the last couple of arriving LW units. In the old BTR it always struck me as misleading advertising regarding the last couple of scheduled reinforceing arriving units because the game would have ended with an Allied victory beforehand (or an Axis victory in Jan/Feb 1944).

okay, I not sure how you would do anything about that
the game is "suppost" to last 700 turns, if it ends before hand, I don't know how to not tell the player that they should get a unit or two
to be honest, that info really should be blocked, but I know for me, I was always checking to see when this or that unit was coming, and give you a reason, to keep going
(ahh, 10 more days and I got 2 FGs comings, maybe I can finally go after Hamm, once I get those guys)
it is a fine line, with what info the player should have and shouldn't have (plus, is surprising, how many mistakes, bugs we have found over the years, with that info in our faces)

okay, for what it is worth, I have pulled II/JG7, also III/JG76
(if it bothers anybody, I will give my reasons, if not...)

I don't quite understand the idea behind this. Why pull off some groups? If the german player gets to play all the way until the end, where is the problem to give them historically correct gruppens?

Swify has it pretty much on the button
take something like JG 7
you got Stab, I, II, III, and real close to the end, IV JG 7
but...
Stab JG 7 came from Stab KG 1 (no hassle there)
I/JG 7 came from II/KG 1 (again no hassle)
but, I/JG 7 became II/JG 7 on 11-24-44
I/JG 7 reformed on 11-25-44 from II/JG 3 (a little hassle, or just keep it as if it came from II/KG 1)
hmmm
II/JG 7 came from Part of III/KG 1
but, II/JG 7 became IV/JG 301 on 11-25-44
reformed from IV/JG 54 in 2-45 but never completed
III/JG 7 came from Kommando Nowotny (that is easy, I keeping KN and not using III)
and IV/JG 7 ?
well it is really more of a trick question
IV/JG 7 came from JV 44 a day or two before the war ended (so of course, I keeping JV 44 and not bringing in IV)
and to be honest, 7 is one of the easy ones to follow
others of the late war are also units that are in the game already, under another name, when the ZGs were dropped, they still were used, just flying different planes in different named units

Note in raid 15, it's reported as a 84-bomber raid with 223 shot down...
...wait, what? Admittedly, Goering was a little out-of-touch, to put it mildly...but not even he would have accepted shooting down more bombers than identified. I don't know what the German practice was in reconciling raid intelligence with combat reports, but surely you can do something with that. Increase the raid count to the number lost, or decrease losses to the raid count, or something?

that is FOW
on those pages, the only info that is "good" is about your own side, if you plot many attacks vs the same raid, the numbers go out the window
the loss page, will have to true numbers
