Any chance of getting them in a small, unintrusive version?
I'm okay with the coins or these but they both seem pretty large for me. Could you take the second version and reduce the size of the platoon leader symbols nearer to that of the smaller ones also?

Unfortunately I just noticed a problem with the Red icons... this file will fix that.

NefariousKoel, here is a smaller unobtrusive set, just for you.
However, the whole reason for these is to be able to see and differentiate units at a distance. Still, I hope you enjoy these.

Thanks Bil! I'll give 'em a shot.
I realize you wanted more visible ones. It looks like the colors you have in them would make even my preference for smaller ones stand out more than stock, though. [8D]

Great stuff Bil.
I hope you don't mind, but I lowered the size of your goodies to quite a bit smaller. I find that I need to use the icons to find units but I don't like the icons being in the way too much.
Anyhow, here's what I started using. Screenshots are at zoom '2' key.
Here's a JSGME download for it.

I'm glad you found something that works for you, but I encourage you to take a look at the larger ones again, they allow you to look at the big picture and for planning purposes I am finding them invaluable.
Here is an example shot from overhead... my Infantry Platoons are easily identified, and so are the Russain Tank Platoons... using your set, you would never get this information, nor be able to take advantage of it.
Most of all have fun.

I have updated version 2 compatible with JSGME:

You're right, Bil. The big ones come in handy from way out. I like having the smallest possible for when I'm even remotely zoomed in to the action for issuing orders & such but I can see the uses of the large ones for the overview.
Perhaps making large icons for the first set (instead of the generic nationality ones) and keeping the smaller on the second set is the way to go for me?

Perhaps we should make another wish and send it to Erik ... Variable coin size toggle ... BIG / SMALL ... there are lot's of extra key's on the board not used.
I dunno , another crazy idea! Erik ... you listening ... we know you are!

Okay, what I did was the opposite. I think it is more important to be able to differentiate unit type from a viewpoint that is zoomed further out. So I left those alone and scaled the generic marker down. I think this works best. Let's call it v3. Thanks for the feedback, it's invaluable.
Also, this version includes a new Unidentified Unit marker. See attached v3 file.

Nicely done once again Bil!
