I made some Russian Pioneers intending that they would be armed with goodies like the RPG-40....
These units worked very well in RBG and all was well until I tried using the RCG. What happened was the Random Campaign would hang up at the AI's planning stage of Turn 1 and would not proceed. I sent Eric the files asking for help and was told that the newly created units that were not a part of the original OOB were hanging up the campaigns.
I deleted all of the units and even went so far as to reinstall the game with no luck and I finally got the RCG working by deleting the units I had created *and* a couple of suspicious-looking log type files that the game created. These files would not be deleted when re-installing the game and may have been the cause of some troubles with RCG. Anyway, after I deleted these and destroyed the directory structure and then re-installed the game, all began to work again.
So when seeing these captured T34's I wondered if the creation and addition of new units might cause the same sort of difficulty and figured it might be good to post an alert that there may be a conflict between RCG and the addition of new units to the OOB when the RCG decides it wants to use those units. Seemed like there might be a file somewhere in the game listing the units available for use in the RCG? I assumed that since the Pioneers worked perfectly in the RBG and the Scenario editor, the problem must be some sort of conflict with the RCG.
As far as my difficulty went, I just scrapped my notion of Pioneers and Soviet Airborne that I was going to add to the game.
