The issue isn't blue collar vs. white collar, the issue is workers vs. companies and the bottom line.
 
Anyone with any knowledge of Union -Company labor relations knows what comes next after white collar workers start losing their benefits.
 
 
Panzers- your post may not be placing the blame at blue collar workers but it does come off that way,   you should place your blame entirely at the feet of the company and people at human resources who made the decision.
 
 
The blue collar workers would have had their rights snaked yesterday if the company thought they could pull it off without labor strife.

It's obvious that there is one thing your supposed father should have spent more money on, and that is your basic education.
An author once told me that how a person writes is often a good indication of how they think. It looks like you're thinking at about a fourth-grade level.

While I won't argue the possibility that I might be disliked by certain people at this website, irrespective of my rather sparse postings, I get the impression that you, for one, are probably not in a position to cause me to be banned.
At best, the administrators might use a thread such as this as an excuse to barr someone they otherwise dislike, but it wouldn't be a valid reason by any reasonable standard and I doubt they'd do it because of your badgering.
Of course, considering that the administrators have not yet locked this thread, despite your flaming and gratuitous use of expletives, I might be overestimating their reasoning powers.

Given the apology and fact that the guys father is ill, I think the reply post about education was OTT.

These while company forums, are still public and its easy to take things wrongly or misread things! Blue Collar/White Collar, man you should come to the UK to learn about class systems lol! Talk about know thy place <G>

The truth is and always will be that its the Big guys (corporations etc) against the little guys, thats about less that 1% v 99% of the population.

In boom times, its easy to forget, but come rescession....

Unfortunately, I can't take back what I said, but I reacted without reading the other posts and was so taken aback by boredstiff's attacks on me,
I just lost it. I can take a little ribbing about my hometown, but when I get an insensitive attack like that, it is very offensive and uncalled for. I want to apologize to everyone else in here for stooping to that level and also to Erik. I would appreciate it if people left this alone.
And I want to thank son of monfort for realizing that this was going out of control quickly before I got a chance to read his post.
We all have opinions about white collar, blue collar and I think it is best to treat it as a politics, race, religion kind of subject.

Thanks for the apology. Regardless of how much the comments by other posters bothered you, it doesn't justify resorting to profanity on a public family forum. Please edit your earlier post and don't do it again and we'll leave it at that.

I've also seen plenty of white collar folks get screwed along with blue collar folks, unless you own the company, your benefits these days just aren't all that secure. I hope your dad lands on his feet.
