Nice, we're on a 3 game winning streak after a slow start to the season....
Lots of ties early on in the league also...
we need to get this "expected" week 6 win...then we'll be 4-2...

The Game of the Week would have been fun to watch. 650yds passing is amazing. Don Coryell would have been proud.

It was stunning to watch them get better as the game played on. I thought Gotham had them.

Yep. Looks like the Barons have the Makos number as they hold a 3-1 alltime edge over them.

Week Nine results have been posted. It's tight in the East and West as the league heads into final two weeks of play.
There's an upset in the spotlight. But, a bigger upset happened elswhere. Who?
Big, BIG match up next week could determine East champ and playoff ramifications.

Alright, it's time to pull a Miami Heat and tank the rest of the year for a better draft position.

The Monarchs are the only team to make the playoffs every season since the league opened three season's ago. Sadly the streak will come to an end this season.

Dear DreamTeams,
as a longtime fan of the Bay City Comets, i might ask you, if they shoudn´t consider to hire a new coach for the new season.
They have again a good defence (2nd best concerning points allowed), but they have also again the -by far- worst offense (concerning points scored). So the season is again over after 8 or 9 weeks. I know its not easy for an expension team to establish against hard opponents, but I also heard about rumors, that some key players are quite disappointed, & also that their fans would love to see some more explosive offense action?!

Howdy th1207,
Thanks for the question. Here's how MFL coaching tenure works...
...I use a very simple procedure to determine a coaches tenure with a certain team. If after five seasons the coach has led his team to more winning seasons than losing seasons or has taken his team to the playoffs, he is extended for five more seasons (up to 20 seasons). If not he is automatically fired and is placed in the inactive coaches pool until he is either hired by a team or his tenure expires. If a coach wins a Metro Bowl title he will automatically remain with the team until his retirement. After each season I create a few more coaches and place them in the coaches pool where they stay until they are hired or their tenure expires.)...
So, applying the MFL tenure procedure, coach Hernandez has been with the Comets for two seasons (including this season), so he has three more seasons left on his tenure with the team before his win-loss record comes up for review. Looks like the Comets are stuck with him for a time.
However, the Comets made a huge draft pick-up last season with a franchise QB in McDoogle. They'll need to continue adding pieces offensively (mostly by way of draft) over the next few seasons to have a real shot at contention. By that time, (if things continue for Hernandez as they are) it looks like they'll be poised for a new coach.

Cape City will have to have another statement game against the Cyclones. It's getting interesting in the East Conference.
