They seem to work on all XP machines and most Vista machines.
I'm usually pretty good with spotting data problems and I just don't see the cause of the crash in the data. The original VISTA poster made the problem go away after verifying that the 9 DCG files existed in his West Front folder... go figure.
If you have 2 different machines running the exact same software on the same OS and one crashes but the other doesn't that sounds to me like the bug is related to the hardware or perhaps a user-setting. I do hope we can figure this one out though.

Trouble with the computer hardware? Whether a little isn't being given you strange fact that on my Vista computer all CS campaigns and scenarios are acting correctly behind the exception two mentioned earlier? A bit of this explanation made up, whether you are sure that it isn't certainly problem of the software? For me it is strange, that two components of the game aren't only acting in the situation when all different are working correctly... [&:]

Hopefully time tell what is the culprit here. My newest hunch is that the problem lies with the DCG bitmaps. Vampir, with your help I may be able to crack this yet.
Have you tried "Operation Crusader" yet? I did modifications on that one as well. Please give that one a try and report back.
Also try this: In your West Front folder, move or rename the file called "spearhead in the ardennes-map.bmp" and try Spearhead again and report back. The mission should still play (it does for me), but you get a blank battle map at the beginning.

I remove file "-map.bmp" for DCG ""spearhead in the ardennes" and ""Conquest of Greece". Campaigns starts fine (blank battle maps) and works (in the beginning), it is necessary to put to the test. FLARE for dravazed to give this experiment a try. Meanwhile I'll compare the properties of the stock and modified bitmaps.

GAME TEST without 2 DCG bitmaps! "Spearhead in the Ardennes" - 4 mission - without problems, DCG works fine (only blank screen battle map looks little strange [;)]). "Conquest of Greece" - 2 mission - without problems, DCG works fine. [:)]

GAME TESTED without 2 DCG bitmaps - campaigns DCG "Spearhead in the Ardennes" and "Conquest of Greece" works fine. [:)] It is provisional solution, but work.
