Well, army unit scale. Bob Cross' Soviet Union 1941 is not actually that different in scale, but he put about 100 times more work into it and it is probably the most realistic scenario covering that campaign.

Kind of you, Ben. I'm playtesting version 2 as we speak. And creating another analysis-type AAR, like I did for France 1944 & Germany 1945. Expect it posted in another month or so. It should be interesting.

For his own amusement, Ben Turner/Golden Delicious once did a scenario of the Eastern Front along these lines. Each unit was an army group, and the map was ten hexes wide or something. It actually worked pretty well.

Quite right [:)]

Nice scenario but do you find realistic TO&E? I just shot 47% of Russian planes with some railroad guns [:D]

Sounds like the rail guns should be taken out of the scenario. They don't add much at this scale.

They add their weight to the initial suprise attack. After that, the front moves far beyond their range. I suppose two of them could be used, initially, against the Soviet air units, but those units would be destroyed by the Luftwaffe anyway. The rail guns are actually more useful to help dis-entrench any well dug-in defenders.

My sources for the TO&E & etc. are listed in the included document.

Well, it's nice scenario. Didn't wanted to be negative.
And nice touch with those oil refineries as T64a.

I was using the first "Spare Equipment" item. Ralph then changed it to T-64As. It's been fixed in version 2. I had this same problem in France 1944.

That AAR has now been posted. Find it here:
