I wont be much help. Blender uses Python scripts to do a lot of things not already in the program. I just tried it and I am at a loss to figure it out.

ok well I don't know what to do now. Google Sketch Up has a lot of 3D models I was going to use, but they are all in dae and I can't find anywhere how ot convert dae to 3ds. Thanks for trying Gary and hopefully I can figure this out.

dae is apparently some sort of universal or standard format that some entity is pushing to be used by all 3D software. Obviously they have met with limited success [:)]

Gary do you know of any sites that have 3D models of US landmarks?

Not really. Although I wonder what format people use when they make terrain and objects for Microsoft Flight Simulator?
Im sure people have made various landmarks for that game.

I have FSX, but don't mod the terrain any. I know the people who do mod it though charge a fortune. I was trying to get a model of the Space Needle and/or the Gateway Arch, but the only ones I find are in dae or they are charging $60.
