Thanks 2ndACR! I am not sure when Japan started construction on the 3rd in the class... but you would think that would have freed up some resources, but dockyard space may have been an issue by that point.

Well, think like this........No Yamato = 1 capitol ship slip to be used by a CV.........No Musashi = 1 capitol ship slip to be used by a CV.
That is 2 of the 4 right there.........if they laid the CV's on the date they really laid down the Yamato and Musashi........those 2 CV's would have been completed around mid 41 or very early 42......the next 2 would be ready around mid to late 43. I do not see a shipyard problem with that. I think it is completely doable and very likely they could have done that exact thing.
But for this mod......he would have to give up the 4 Yamato style CV's. That gives him the 4 Taiho's.
