You guys are misanthrope wannabes. You should try freeway driving in California. Have you eve threatened to Tase another driver at freeway speeds when both cars still have their windows up? I thought not[:)]
California driving is nothing! In the late seventies I experinced driving the venutura freeway in a rented pinto driven by three guys from Boston! The locals didn't have a chance! It was like a scene from the Blues Brothers! Not a scratch on the pinto, but oh the carnage and wreckage behind us! [:D][:D][:D]

So what about the Brits? Surely they had their fair share of geezers in the Pacific.
Possibly Percivale or Wavell?

Halsey was a geezer worthy of backing his cranky attitude, that we geezers proudly have, with action. Doug, on the other hand, was delusional due to his age because he thought & promoted himself as a great warrior who should've been king.
I am the most even tempered, calm, nice as can be person that I know. [;)] Does falling down the stairs last night give me reason to bitch more than usual? [:D]
"Damn Stairs! Who put 'em here? Any idiot can see they belong over there. There are no stairs in WITP. Look at the way that railing is angled..."

When I was growing up I managed to fall down both staircases in the house. Both times all my father said was, "Have a nice trip?"
Getting the wind knocked out of you hurts like #$%@

Probably Halsey, too.
If I remember correctly Halsey's daughter described him as "Very even tempered, he was angry all the time". Yep, sounds like a geezer to me.
I recall that King's daughter said that. Halsey was known for being extremely kind to friends and family, and caring for a wife who was said to be certifiable. An example of his loyalty to friends was that he didn't want to be thew one to tell Ghourmley that he was reliving him. He also always supported his friend Husband Kimmel.
Your right, I was going from memory as opposed to looking it up. I would know better then to do that but those brain cells are on strike.

So, who were the great geezer leaders of the war in the Pacific?
Wasn't the admiral of the PH strike, who called off the 2nd strike, a geezer?
No , he was an old fart. No backbone. Geezers are fiesty! [:D]
Nah, I bet anything he was feisty when he started getting objections, assuming anybody complained. Feisty can happen anywhere, in fact, for him to go up against the grain that there may had been, would be for him to display personal feistiness, just feistiness later than we would had thought, and in a different way, but feisty nonetheless.

There's always Chamberlain before they got involved. I think he was the author of the geezer with no feist.

There are no grumpy Brits, we're all even-tempered and mild-mannered.

So, who were the great geezer leaders of the war in the Pacific?
I think anybody with the nickname "Vinegar Joe" would have to be the tops of the list. Madame Chairwoman, I place Genr. Joe Stillwell's name in nomination for Top WiTP RL Geezer.

Patton would qualify for as a geezer. And a grumpy one, too.
I was at Disneyland a couple years ago with my wife. She had forgot her sweatshirt and we were in one of the overpriced shops looking at disney wear. She was in the midst of a peri-manopausal episode that gave her a strong desire to snap the head off of anything female and do the same to anything male while dancing in their entrails. Of course she had to get a "Grumpy" sweatshirt......and she got pissed when I wanted a "I'm with Grumpy" shirt. Took me hours to get my entrails all back in......
Grumpy has a somewhat different meaning to me.
