Just a question:
is it normal that Balins and Durins reg are "Ork of the misty mountain" regime?
I thought they were Lorien regime.

No, its not normal. The dwarf regiment should be added to the Lorien regime not to the orcs. If this happens ill have to change that event. To late for this game though. Its not a very important event so it shouldnt be a huge issue (other than the strange feeling).

Someone asked about the realmod. It should be installed for the scenario to work properly. It can be found in the scenariobank.

Not sure about the virus I did not have that problem. I did have the missing graphics however but I do not think it's anything major. Turn has been passed on to the Orcs of Moria may Balins toomb haunt them forever.

Hmmm.. im pretty sure your emailproblem doesnt involve any actual virus. It might be some emailsetting.

Has anyone else had the same missing graphics problem?

Thanks for the proposed events Typhoon. Did you notice that the entmote is in the game? The nazguhls and the dunlaendings are also in the game.

I'm noticing more just how much attention and affection for the books has gone into this with every look. Really does have a lot of things captured already. Now we fired it up will be good to see if it plays out as well as I think it will.

Yes, me

i have a question, whats the role of kings? do they stay in HQ and act as officers? or are they good for combat, what happens if they die?

Hatemf90: Kings, heroes etc are generally very beefed up staff. Some of them might be able to command 2-10 times as many troops as normal staff. Some can command armies by themselves. Some have very high morale boosts. Also some of them (mostly the mages and the balrog) have a very long range artillery attack (up to 9 hexes i think). Some of them are real powerhouses in combat (balrog/head of nazguhls i think). But this is different for all. You have to check the stats yourselv. Some of the heroes isnt much more than beefed up staff (Glorfimbul/Boromir/Eomer ex i think). But you will have to check yourself.
The special caracters are mostly there to capture the mood of the scenario and there are no special events connected to any of them duying (yet). But you can imagine if one of the most powerfull heroes in your realm dies, maybe the staff modifier might dropp from 100% to 50 % because he alone was accounting for half of it..... So keep them alive if possible.

Very nice of you to join in on the AAR writing Typhoon. I understand that Lorien can feel a little bit pressured in the beginning of the game. Dol Guldur to the Northeast, Orcs to the west and Isengaard to the Southwest. Enemies everywhere.

Four things should give you some comfort though.

- Lorien does have some nice defensive terrain surrounding most of their cities. Especially with the Ents not getting any penalties for fighting in forest (hope this SFTs work as i want).

- Rohan and Isengaard have exactly the same resources. So given enough pressure from Rohan Isengaard should not be able to lend to much support towards you. That just leaves the Orcs and Dol Guldur....

- Also there is the possibility of getting support in supply and PP from your allies (Rohan i think). They can in their turn get support from Gondor. So it is possibel to channel funds between allies. It is a little bit costly though since you spend 12PPs of production to get 11PPs of supply and PP. But the possibility of help is there.

- Finally there is the gamechanger. The Awaken Rivendell actioncard! Sure it is hugely expensive at 80PPs. But it will almost double your realm, adding 15k of production in the back of the unsuspecting orcs!!! (poor orcs). This is also a major reason why the Orcs have to put major pressure on Lorien in the beginning of the game. To stop Lorien from getting this card to early. Lorien have to balance their play carefully. They dont want to spend all their resources on PPs early to get the realm imediatly either as this could potentially lead to a huge empire with no soldiers which could fall quickly to an Orc "blitzkrieg". I think this card arrives on T10 or something so hold out and save PP:s.....

Grymme thanks for the heads up will look out for the card. Now all I got to ask is what if any other fantasy titles you have considered doing? This is fantastic but there are many more out there that I'm sure would be equally as much fun to play even if not as famous.
