in the North, I am going to try and slip out my Dutch fleet, only see a small English Fleet (I know the Russian fleets are past me (got to worry about the Swedes though)

and what is that Russian Army doing up in Prussia ?

oh my, so far my plans are working !

my 3 Fleets avoid the battle in the south, and all move north, but see another English Fleet join up, that may be a bigger battle then I had hoped for

in the North, I slip out

and a good battle for me, 13 to 6

even better, it is 6 3rd rates, vs my 12 3rd rates and a SOL

(the English have some nasty SOLs)

which something you don't see often, my Dutch are better sailors then the English Squadron

I get some good vollies off

bad enough being out numbered and out gunned, it hurts when you get out shot too

and now, defeat in detail, the entire English fleet is lost

BUT...

that extra English Fleet may be a killer

but at least, I do not have the Spanish with me, but those 30-45 ships would come in handy

but, to the good, the English have the Russians on there side

with a fleet action this big, fouling and being out of place is going to the biggest issue

so again, the idea is going to be, defeat in detail, pick a area and hammer on it, and hope you can end it, before the rest can turn around and join in

there are a lot of crits, but this one is one of the better ones, it really hurts your firepower when it happens, getting it twice really hurts

(of course, maybe the best one, is getting the target ship to explode, which I may need about 5 of those in this battle !)

hmmm, wish I would get the wind in some of these big battles

this one is going to be confusing and messy

hmmm, the English have been smart so far, not seen any of the Russians yet, they all in the back row !

my battle plan is working out better then the English
where he is close, I am massed, where he is strong, he is out of range (well, he can still fire, only not in good firing range)

and again, I am getting my Frigates out of the way, got them set to chain shot, and any damage they do, is a bonus

the morale

one of the English SOL is down, shot the Hull out and knocked all the rigging down, it will strike soon, as the morale is also shot

it may be HARD to see, lots of smoke in the area

615, I am winning the WTF battle, I am able to better mass my firepower, he has the better ships, but so far, he has not been able to mass, also, ahead of the curve with Morale

one that is strange, the English Grappled one of my ships, and that ship is shattered, almost no crew left, think it was one of my captured !!!!

they broke too soon, I wanted/needed another round to do major damage, pretty much just did damage, took 2 ships, but one was a SOL, both sold for timber

for losses here, remember they are counting, hull/rigging and crew

another battle in UP, that will be one of the early major battlefields, at least it always is for me

which is why, I sent the Grand II into Ossity land, and keep a Corps behind

one thing I will harp on, over and over again, always support your guns, if you don't, they will most times get hit

and as you see, not every battle is a slaughter or one sided affair

which I took Venice, and then the Ossites came back

but he is calling for help, so need to make this one short and sweet, not really a good battle group down in the south
